Dahl (spleen) believes he can return to Double-A New Britain by July 6 or 7, Irv Moss of the Denver Post reports.
The Rockies haven't publicly issued a timetable for Dahl's return since he had his spleen removed following a scary outfield collision in a May 28 game. However, the 20-year-old said he's been recovering well from the setback and is "doing everything, but just not playing yet." The organization will likely evaluate him over the next week before determining if he's ready to test himself again in game action.

Dahl (spleen) is hoping to return to action for Double-A New Britain at some point in July, Irv Moss of the Denver Post reports.
Dahl ruptured his spleen after colliding with a teammate in a May 28 game, an injury that was initially expected to cost him the rest of the season. The plan was for Dahl to spend the next few months off the field while waiting for the spleen to heal properly, but the outfielder instead opted for a splenectomy to give himself a chance to return this season. The Rockies don't have a formal timetable for Dahl's return, as he's yet to resume baseball activities. However, the 21-year-old has since resumed traveling with New Britain and could soon increase the intensity of his workouts.

Dahl (lacerated spleen) hasn't ruled himself out for the remainder of the 2015 season, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
It was presumed that Dahl would be done for the year following a scary collision with a teammate last Thursday during a game with Double-A New Britain, which required the outfielder to undergo a splenectomy and also resulted in a likely concussion. However, it sounds like Dahl's decision to go under the knife rather than allowing his spleen to heal naturally will actually speed up his recovery timetable, although it could potentially present additional complications. Regardless, it remains likely that Dahl will at least miss the next several months, creating a development setback for the 21-year-old. Dahl was batting .269 with three homers and 14 stolen bases in his first season at Double-A.

Dahl had successful surgery to repair a lacerated spleen, but will miss the remainder of the 2015 season for Double-A New Britain, Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Dahl was forced to exit Thursday's game after a nasty collision with a teammate that left him with myriad of injuries, of which the ruptured spleen was the most serious. The outfielder is expected to make a full recovery heading into spring training next season, but according to Passan, he'll likely have to wear protective gear on his chest for the remainder of his career due to the spleen injury. While it's good to see that the 21-year-old will be able to continue his career, the lengthy absence provides a second massive hurdle to overcome in his development. Dahl, who is widely viewed as one of the top outfield prospects in the minors, was previously limited to just 10 games in 2013 due to a torn hamstring.

Dahl was taken to a local hospital Thursday to undergo surgery on his spleen after leaving Double-A New Britain's game following an outfield collision, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
In addition to required surgery on the spleen, Dahl also sustained a broken rib and injuries to his face, nose. He likely has at least a minor concussion as well after having no memory of the collision, according to the outfielder's father, Mike. The combination of those injuries likely means that Dahl, the top position prospect in the Rockies' system, will be sidelined for weeks, if not months. Prior to suffering the injuries, Dahl had just begun to find his hitting stroke at Double-A, where he's batting .269/.296/.379 to go along with three homers and 14 stolen bases.

Dahl had an awful on-field collision Thursday that may have resulted in a concussion, broken rib and a ruptured spleen, Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan reports.
Dahl is one of the top prospects in the minor leagues, and the top prospect in the Rockies' system, so this is terrible news for everyone concerned. Passan's report referred to the concussion and broken rib as "likely" and the ruptured spleen as "possible," so we do not know the full extent of Dahl's injuries. This collision could easily cost Dahl a good chunk of the remainder of the season and he should be considered out indefinitely for now.

Dahl went 2-for-5 with a triple and a home run in Double-A New Britain's game Wednesday in New Hampshire.
The seven total bases marked a season high for Dahl, who rose his slash line to .252/.286/.370 with the performance. The homer was only his second of the season, but he's been force on the basepaths for New Britain, swiping 11 bags in 14 attempts.
