Bote is starting at third base and batting eighth in Saturday's game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Bote started Friday's game on the bench and appeared as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning, but he'll return to the starting lineup Saturday. The 25-year-old is slashing .231/.250/.308 in 26 at-bats this season and will likely return to Triple-A Iowa when Kris Bryant (shoulder) returns from the DL, which could happen early next week.

Bote was recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bote was called up to take the roster spot of Kris Bryant (shoulder), who was placed on the disabled list. Bote will fill a utility role for the Cubs for now and likely head back to Iowa when Bryant is ready to return.

Bote was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Thursday, Mark Gonzales of The Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bote will head back to the minors after playing in five games for the Cubs over the past 10 days, going 4-for-10 with one double and five RBI during his brief stay. He will receive everyday at-bats for Iowa moving forward, and remains a prime candidate to re-join Chicago later this summer. In a corresponding move, Randy Rosario was promoted to the big leagues.

Bote was recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bote is up to replace Jason Heyward, who was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list. Bote went 1-for-9 in a brief cameo earlier this season, his first taste of big-league action. He was hitting .333/.393/.605 with five homers in 20 games for Iowa. He'll likely fill a bench role until Heyward returns.

Bote was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, Bruce Miles of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
He notched one hit in nine at-bats with the big club, filling in on the active roster while Ben Zobrist (back) was on the disabled list. The Cubs have plenty of infield depth, so even when Bote gets summoned again in the future, he is unlikely to play enough to be worth an add in most formats. He hit .234 with three home runs in 49 plate appearances at Triple-A prior to his promotion.

Bote was called up to replaced the injured Ben Zobrist (back) and will start Saturday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Bote will play third base, with Kris Bryant shifting to the outfield. Bote has primarily played second base but has started at every position except catcher in the minor leagues. He'll make his major-league debut after hitting just .238 in his first 11 games for Triple-A Iowa, though he did hit three homers and post a .548 slugging percentage. The former 18th-round pick has a bit of power but overall has a utility man profile.

Bote was optioned to Triple-A Iowa by the Cubs on Tuesday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bote has put together a solid spring for the Cubs with a .282/.364/.461 slash line and one home run in 39 at-bats. There was never a clear path to an Opening Day roster spot for the 24-year-old with the Cubs this spring, however he could earn an opportunity at some point if he builds off a solid 2017 season in Double-A Tennessee.

Bote is 10-for-33 in 14 Cactus League games with a home run and six RBI.
EDGE Analysis
Bote spent most of 2017 with Double-A Tennessee, but he also got 12 games in at the Triple-A level. The Cubs have a deep and talented infield, so Bote is probably off the MLB radar in 2018. But if the 24-year-old continues to perform well in spring training and in the minors, he could earn himself an opportunity down the road.

Bote was added to the Cubs' 40-man roster Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Now that he's on the 40-man roster, Bote will be protected from the Rule 5 draft. Bote had a respectable season at Double-A Tennessee, as he slashed .272/.353/.438 over 127 games. However, the Cubs have a crowded and talented infield, so Bote faces an uphill battle to reach the majors.
