He is a candidate to pitch in extended spring training and isn't expected to be ready for the start of spring training after being shut down in late February with tightness in his left shoulder. The 30-year-old southpaw was 8-12 with a rough 4.88 ERA, 1.49 [...]

Danny Duffy Thinks His Season Is Over rotoballer.com Tue 9/4/18 6:47 PM
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (shoulder), who suffered another shoulder impingement in his start on Tuesday, said he thinks that he will be shut down for the rest of the season. It's a valid assumption, as the Royals have nothing to play for and haven't for a while. The southpaw made it just two-thirds of an inning on Tuesday night and would end his season with an ugly 8-12 record and 4.88 ERA over 28 starts. Ian Kennedy should replace Duffy in the rotation as soon as this we[...]
Danny Duffy Leaves His Start Prematurely rotoballer.com Tue 9/4/18 6:00 PM
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy (shoulder) left his start early on Tuesday with another left shoulder impingement. Not only was he injured, but Duffy allowed three earned runs and four hits (one homer) in just two-thirds of an inning before departing. The southpaw was on the disabled list with the same issue last month, so this could wind up ending his 2018 season. He's struggled by going 8-11 with a 4.88 ERA and 8.19 K/9 over 28 starts.
