His 30th homer of the year was his only hit of the game. Ugglas's team-record hitting streak of 33 games may have ended last weekend, but he's hit three homers in his last three games. His OPS, which was below .540 in early June, is up to .761 and rising.

Dan Uggla slugged two home runs Saturday in the Braves' 8-1 trouncing of the Diamondbacks.
Uggla hit a two-run shot to left field in the first inning and a solo blast to deep center in the seventh. He's up to 29 home runs on the season and boasts a rising .758 OPS. The second baseman should remain a top contributor through the end of the year for the Wild Card-leading Braves.

Dan Uggla went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Atlanta's 6-5 loss to the Cubs on Sunday, ending his team-record hitting streak at 33 games.
Uggla delivered his sac fly in the first before fouling out in the third, popping out in the fifth and grounding out in the seventh. During the streak, he hit .377/.438/.762 with 15 home runs and 32 RBI, and upped his season average from .173 to .232. He is just the 23rd player in baseball history to hit in at least 33 consecutive games.

Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to 33 games Saturday in the Braves' loss to the Cubs.
Uggla hit a single in the first inning and a homer in the fourth, finishing the night 2-for-3 with two runs scored. He's up to 27 home runs on the year and is improving his .753 OPS with every passing day. The second baseman will try to keep the streak intact Sunday against Cubs right-hander Matt Garza.

Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to 31 games in the Braves win over the Marlins on Wednesday, going 3-for-5 with two RBI.
Uggla's streak is now officially the longest of the season, and tied for the longest in Braves history. Still hitting just .224 on the year, he's batting .355 since beginning his streak on July 5. In the process, he's turned in nine multi-hit efforts, 12 home runs and 29 RBI.

Dan Uggla went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Atlanta's win over the Marlins on Monday, extending his hitting streak to 29 games.
Uggla is now tied for the second longest hitting streak in Braves history, and is only two games away from equaling the team record set by Rico Carty in 1970. Still batting just .220 on the season, he's hitting .354 since beginning his streak on July 5.

Dan Uggla extended his hitting streak to 26 games on Friday evening with a two-out, two-RBI single in the eighth inning of Atlanta's 4-1 win over the Mets.
Freddie Freeman also went 2-for-4 for the Braves, extending his own hitting streak to 19 games. Uggla is hitting .350 with 16 extra-base hits and 25 RBI since beginning his streak on July 5, upping his season average from .173 to .215 in the process.

Dan Uggla went 2-for-4 and hit a three-run homer to lead the Braves to a 6-4 win over the Nationals on Wednesday.
The Braves managed to salvage one game in the series in D.C. Uggla's hitting streak now stands at 25 games, and he has four homers in his last six games. He's hit .283 with five homers and 10 RBI in 12 games against the Nationals this season.

Uggla also hit a three-run blast in Friday's win and is now up to 20 dingers and 47 RBI on the year. His OPS is still well below his career mean, but the powerful second baseman has hardly been a disappointment in fantasy leagues as a first-year Brave.

Dan Uggla slugged a three-run homer in a 5-0 win over the Marlins on Friday night.
His three-run blast -- his 19th home run of the season -- in the seventh broke a scoreless tie. It also extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Uggla ended June with a .178 batting average, but is up to .206 after going 0-for-4 on Friday night. His batting average hasn't been that high since the early part of May.
