Straily (8-8) allowed two runs on six hits and three walks and struck out five batters in Sunday's no-decision against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Although the Marlins went on to win Sunday's outing, Straily was lifted before his team pulled ahead. The two runs he gave up came in the fifth inning when Clayton Richard, San Diego's starting pitcher, hit a two-run home run on Straily. The righty has shown the ability to limit runs lately, as Sunday's game marked the sixth consecutive start in which he's allowed three runs or less. He'll look to carry this momentum into his next start, which projects to be a favorable matchup against the Phillies on Friday.

Straily (8-8) allowed three runs on two hits and two walks across six innings while earning the win Tuesday against the Phillies. He struck out 10.
EDGE Analysis
Straily was dominant for the most part, allowing just four men to reach base while reaching double-digit punchouts for the third time this season. The Phillies got the most out of their two hits -- a two-run home run by Rhys Hoskins in the first inning and a solo shot by Cameron Rupp in the fifth -- but Straily was given plenty of run support and left in line for the win. He has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his last five starts, posting a 26:8 K:BB during that span. Straily's next start will come Saturday against the Padres.

Straily allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings while striking out three but didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
He left the game with a 4-3 lead and in line for his eighth win of the year, but the Marlins' bullpen fell apart late. Straily hasn't won a decision since the All-Star break and has only lasted six or more innings once in seven outings over that stretch, making him a difficult pitcher to rely upon for fantasy value heading into his next start Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Straily allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out just a single batter through 5.2 innings during Thursday's loss to Washington. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from the lack of strikeouts, this was solid showing against the daunting Nationals, and the 28-year-old righty now boasts a 3.74 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 8.0 K/9 for the campaign. Straily has been extremely consistent this season and has now allowed three runs or fewer in 15 of his previous 18 starts, so continue to view him as solid fantasy asset moving forward. He lines up to face the Giants at Marlins Park in his next start.

Straily (7-8) allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven batters through 5.2 innings during Saturday's loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Straily has now allowed three runs or fewer in 14 of his past 17 games and sports a 3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 8.2 K/9 for the campaign. Those numbers move the fantasy needle in all settings, and considering his start-to-start consistency, Straily's reliability is a nice asset. It is worth noting that he lines up for a daunting start against Washington at Nationals Park next, though.

Straily (7-7) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks across six innings in Sunday's loss to the Reds. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Straily got into a bit of trouble in the second inning, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk, but he settled down and pushed through four more frames in this quality start. Unfortunately, Luis Castillo twirled a gem on the other side, resigning Straily to his third straight loss. It was a nice bounce-back performance after he had allowed 10 runs in his previous nine innings, and he will take a 3.79 ERA into Saturday's outing against the Braves, assuming he is not moved before the trade deadline.

Straily (7-6) gave up six runs on 10 hits and a walk over four innings in Tuesday's 10-4 loss to Texas. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After his 8.1 sparkling innings in San Francisco back on July 7, Straily had his ERA down to 3.31 and his WHIP down to 1.05; over his last three starts, however, he's been ripped for 27 hits and 13 runs (12 earned) over 14 innings, raising those ratios to 3.84 and 1.18 in the process. Those are still useful figures, and Straily has a friendlier matchup on tap as he attempts to turn the tide Sunday at home against the Reds.

Straily (7-5) was touched up for four runs on nine hits and three walks across five innings of work in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies. He also struck out seven batters.
EDGE Analysis
Things really could have been much worse, as Straily worked in and out of trouble all afternoon and managed to limit the damage in most instances. He also fired plenty of strikes (62 strikes, 31 balls), but ultimately it wasn't enough to get a victory as his ERA rose to 3.49. He'll look to improve things in a road start Tuesday against the Rangers.

Straily (thumb) will start Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily bruised his right thumb during an at-bat in his previous start last week, but after experiencing no issues during his bullpen session Monday, he shouldn't face any limitations in his return to the hill. The right-hander has been the ace of a porous Marlins rotation this season, submitting a 3.32 ERA and 1.07 while amassing 98 strikeouts in 108.1 innings.

Manager Don Mattingly said he expects Straily (thumb) to be ready to start Wednesday against the Phillies, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily got jammed up during an at-bat Friday, which resulted in a bruised right thumb and an early exit after 84 pitches, but he made it through his between-starts bullpen session unscathed. While the right-hander struck out 10 in his first start against the Phillies this season back on May 31, the strikeouts have been down lately, with Straily managing four or fewer in each of his last four outings.
