Straily (4-5) allowed eight runs (five earned) on 11 hits and one walk across 3.2 innings Tuesday while taking the loss against the Braves. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Straily was under duress from the get go, allowing a solo home run to Ronald Acuna in the first inning which Nick Markakis followed up with a two-run blast. He put up a couple of zeros after that before allowing five runs on four hits, a walk and an error as he was chased with two outs in the fourth. Needless to say, it was a disappointing outing for Straily, who'd allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his last six starts. Perhaps some of the distraction stemmed from the possibility of his departure via trade earlier in the day, but Straily's immediate future is now much clearer and he'll look to get back on track this weekend against the Phillies.

Straily (3-4) allowed three runs on four walks and five hits across seven innings in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Marlins. He struck out seven and gave up a home run.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the loss and overall messy line by Straily, he actually dropped his ERA a few points down to 4.70 on the year. After allowing three runs in the first four innings, the 29-year-old settled in for the rest of the afternoon, allowing just one baserunner in his final three frames. Straily will look to get back in the win column on Friday, but draws a tough matchup in Washington.

Straily was reinstated from his five-game suspension and will start Sunday's game against the Mets, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily was bumped back one day in the pitching schedule after he dropped his appeal of the suspension following his June 25 start against the Diamondbacks. Pablo Lopez was called up from Triple-A New Orleans and acquitted himself well while filling Straily's turn Saturday, tossing six innings of two-run ball to notch his first big-league win. With Straily now back in action, the Marlins will presumably move one of three starters who entered the rotation during the past week -- Lopez, Sandy Alcantara and Elieser Hernandez -- to the bullpen or back to the minors.

Straily has dropped the appeal of his five-game suspension and will begin serving it Tuesday night, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins will need to add a starter to their rotation while Straily serves his punishment, but he should simply get an extra day between starts, and be back on the bump Sunday against the Mets.

Straily was given a five-game suspension stemming from his ejection in Tuesday's start against San Francisco, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily will appeal the suspension, so he will remain in line for Monday's scheduled start versus the Diamondbacks. Even in the event that Straily doesn't "win" his suspension, the right-hander won't have to skip a start as he can just pitch six days apart on added rest. Expect a resolution in the near future.

Straily (2-3) allowed four runs on four hits in 1.1 innings before getting ejected in a loss to the Giants on Tuesday. He struck out one and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
Straily gave up homers to Buster Posey and Gorkys Hernandez to get behind early in the game, and he wasn't able to see the outing through after plunking Posey in the second. Both dugouts had been given a warning after Giants starter Dereck Rodriguez hit Lewis Brinson, so Straily was promptly ejected after hitting Posey. Straily threw just 39 pitches (22 strikes) in the outing, so he should be nicely in shape for his next start against the Diamondbacks at home.

Straily threw five innings Thursday, giving up three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven against the Giants. He did not factor into the decision of Miami's eventual loss in 16 innings.
EDGE Analysis
As is a common problem for the right-hander, he yielded two home runs: a first-inning blast from Andrew McCutchen and a big fly from Mac Williamson in the second. Still, Straily leveled out after the rough start, and the fine punchout count was a pleasant surprise, considering he'd entered the game with a mere 7.0 K/9. Following this effort, he holds a more digestible 4.23 ERA, but that hides a 4.63 BB/9 and a 1.81 HR/9, so he remains best used as a matchup assignment in mixed fantasy games. He's lined up to face these Giants in a rematch Tuesday -- this time at AT&T Park. That pitcher-friendly setting and his 2.67 ERA make him a streaming option for the sequel.

Straily (2-2) allowed four earned runs over 3.2 innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Padres. He gave up nine hits while striking out four batters over 87 pitches.
EDGE Analysis
Straily was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Eric Hosmer in the first inning but still managed to hang in for 3.2 frames. He was hittable, however, as he gave up nine hits -- including a solo shot from Freddy Galvis. Provided that Straily doesn't have any ill-effects from the comebacker, he's lined up to make his next start Thursday against the Giants.

Straily (2-2) got the loss against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, giving up one earned run on two hits over 4.1 innings, striking out four and walking five in the Marlins' 6-1 defeat.
EDGE Analysis
Straily struggled with his command throughout this start, issuing five free passes and throwing 87 pitches before being forced into an early exit after just 4.1 innings, despite conceding just the one earned run. His 3.50 ERA through his first seven starts is a solid number and he's managed to hold opponents to a .214 average through his 36 innings. However, his 27:22 K:BB and 1.39 WHIP are both worrisome signs that suggest that the ERA stands to increase if he continues to allow this many baserunners.

Straily (2-1) took the loss Tuesday, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits while striking out four over 5.2 innings against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Straily was in line for the win and an out away from a quality start until serving up a two-run homer to the final batter he faced on the night. The 29-year-old had walked at least three batters in all five starts prior to Tuesday, but he didn't give out any free passes in this one and was missing bats much of the night with 12 swings-and-misses. He'll take a 3.69 ERA and 1.36 WHIP into a Sunday start against the Diamondbacks.
