EDGE Analysis
Kluber's 8:1 K:BB ratio is encouraging as he enters the regular season as he looks sharp despite a spring 5.40 ERA and 1.60 WHIP. He's set to make his first regular-season start April 10 against Baltimore.

Kluber and the Rays agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal Sunday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber was effective when healthy last season with New York, posting a 3.83 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. He was limited to 80 innings due to a right shoulder strain, and he's thrown only 136.2 total frames since the beginning of 2019. The Rays figure to manage Kluber's workload so that the 36-year-old has a better chance of staying healthy throughout the 2022 season.

Kluber tossed 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and striking out four in the win over the Rangers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After tossing a no-hitter in his last start against them, the 35-year-old struggled to keep the Rangers off the bases in this one, ultimately surrendering three separate RBI-singles. The eight hits allowed were his highest total of the season, while he went without giving up a walk for the first time. Overall he has posted a 5.73 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over 22 innings since returning from the 60-day injured list on Aug. 30. Kluber is expected to face the Blue Jays on Tuesday in his next start.

Kluber (5-3) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out four in six shutout innings to earn the win over Cleveland on Friday. He also hit one batter.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander worked a full starter's assignment, throwing 61 of 95 pitches in a fairly dominant start. Kluber had struggled a bit in his first three games since returning from a shoulder injury, allowing 11 runs in 11.2 innings in that span, but he was much closer to his best form Friday. The strong start lowered his ERA to 3.68 with a 1.28 WHIP and 76:32 K:BB through 71 innings overall. Kluber lines up for a home start versus his other former team, Texas, next week.

Kluber allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus Baltimore on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander surrendered a solo home run to Austin Hays in the second inning and a sacrifice fly to Jorge Mateo in the fourth to account for the runs. Kluber threw 46 of 78 pitches for strikes in his second start back from a shoulder strain. The right-hander has walked five in 7.2 innings since he returned, showing a lack of control likely due to his extended absence. He has a 3.69 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 66:28 K:BB across 61 innings overall. Kluber lines up for a road start versus the Mets in next weekend's Subway Series, but he's yet to handle a full starter's workload, and it's unclear how deep he'll be able to pitch in his next turn.

Kluber allowed five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings against the Angels on Monday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Monday was Kluber's first start in just over three months after spending time on the injured list with a right shoulder strain. Kluber held the Angels scoreless for the first three innings but broke down in the fourth. He allowed a run to score after three consecutive base hits and then loaded the bases with a walk before surrendering a grand slam to Jack Mayfield. The 35-year-old now owns a 3.61 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and the 61:25 K:BB over 57.1 innings. He'll look to have a bounceback performance against Baltimore over the weekend.

The Yankees reinstated Kluber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list before his start Monday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Kluber comes off the IL, where he's been since the end of May, to start Monday's game against the Angels. The righty won't throw more than 65-75 pitches, although he figures to build up his workload in the last month of the regular season. He fills the 40-man roster spot of Zack Britton (elbow), who went on the 60-day IL on Monday.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Kluber (shoulder) would be limited to around 65-to-75 pitches in his scheduled start Monday versus the Angels, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
New York will officially reinstate Kluber from the 60-day injured list later Monday, welcoming him back after he missed the past three months with a subscapularis strain in his right shoulder. The right-hander looked rusty in his two-game rehab assignment -- he covered five innings in total while giving up seven earned runs and posting a 5:5 K:BB -- so the Yankees will ease him back into the big-league rotation with a lighter workload than usual. Andrew Heaney, who moved to the bullpen last week, could piggyback Kluber in the outing and cover multiple innings in relief.
