Cole De Vries (forearm) is scheduled to play catch Saturday. It will be his first time throwing since last Friday in Baltimore. De Vries will need to slowly build up his workload before going out on a minor league rehab assignment. The Twins may just keep him in Triple-A once he's back to full health.

Twins placed RHP Cole De Vries on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain. It's not clear at this point how long the right-hander will be sidelined, but with Scott Diamond slated to rejoin the rotation this week, De Vries might be bound for the minors. The Twins have recalled Pedro Hernandez from Triple-A Rochester to start in De Vries' place on Sunday.
