Cron went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, two runs and two strikeouts in Sunday's 9-4 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Cron recorded hits in each of the first two games of the season, but he helped to extend the Rockies' lead in the third inning Sunday by going yard for the first time this year. The 32-year-old has homered at least 25 times in each of the last three full seasons, and he remains a power threat after signing a two-year extension with Colorado in October.

Cron cleared the league's concussion protocol after exiting Sunday's Cactus League game against Arizona, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cron appeared to get hit in the head by a pitch during Sunday's matchup, but the pitch apparently hit him in the shoulder before ricocheting into his helmet. He was removed from the game after walking to first base, but it appears as though his exit was precautionary. The 32-year-old will be able to recover Monday since the Rockies have a scheduled day off, and he should be considered day-to-day.

Cron was removed from Sunday's Cactus League game against the Diamondbacks in the top of the fifth inning after being hit in the head by a pitch, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cron went down hard after being hit by a pitch, but he got up shortly after and was able to walk to first base. However, manager Bud Black opted to remove the 32-year-old from the game. It's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time, but Connor Joe will likely step in at first base if Cron is sidelined.

Cron agreed to an extension with the Rockies on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cron will receive $14.5 million over the next two years, per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. The news is quite good for Cron's fantasy value going forward, as any hitter with a regular role at Coors Field is automatically much more interesting than they otherwise would be. He wasn't merely a product of his environment last season, however, as his .281/.375/.530 slash line was good for a 127 wRC+, a full-season career best.
