Arizona Diamondbacks utility man Chris Owings was diagnosed with a head contusion following a collision with A.J. Pollock on Thursday. Manager Torey Lovullo says that Owings avoided a concussion and will be day-to-day while he is re-evaluated. If he misses any time, Jarrod Dyson would be the main beneficiary of increased playing time.

Arizona Diamondbacks utility man Chris Owings was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Giants after colliding with A.J. Pollock on the warning track. It seems like he took a knee to the head during the collision and was taken out for precautionary reasons. He was replaced in the outfield by Jarrod Dyson. Owings got the start in this game ahead of Jarrod Dyson and made the most of his opportunity. In the two games Owings has started this season, he's gone 3-for-9 with four RBI and four runs scored. He will continue to backup multiple positions but will play often enough to be relevant in deeper fantasy leagues.
