Archer (forearm) will make a rehab appearance for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archer has been out for over four months with a forearm injury. He's already made five rehab appearances, though his latest was cut short by soreness in his left hip. He wasn't shut down for long, however, and was able to throw three innings in a simulated game Thursday. It's unclear how many more rehab outings he'll need to make before he's cleared to return.

Archer (forearm) threw a three-inning simulated game Thursday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archer was scheduled to begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Thursday, but the game was canceled. However, the right-hander was still able to face hitters in a more controlled environment. If he feels good following Thursday's throwing session, Archer is expected to advance to Triple-A Durham for his next rehab appearance, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Archer (forearm/hip) will throw either three innings or 50 pitches Thursday in the Florida Complex League, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty is making nice progress in his latest rehab assignment after hip soreness sidelined him August 2. Archer has not pitched in the big leagues since April 10, but he appears to be a couple weeks from rejoining the Rays.

Archer (forearm/hip) will throw a bullpen session Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archer resumed throwing when he played catch Friday, and he'll progress to mound work early next week. If he feels good after Monday's throwing session, the right-hander is expected to resume his rehab assignment at Triple-A Durham on Wednesday or Thursday. Archer made five rehab starts before he was shut down with left hip soreness, and it's not yet clear how much he'll have to build back up following his brief delay.

Archer (forearm) played catch Friday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archer was removed from his rehab start Sunday due to left hip soreness, but he was able to resume throwing less than a week later. The right-hander will throw a bullpen Sunday or Monday, and the Rays are hopeful that he'll return to game action afterward.

Archer (forearm/hip) is expected to resume throwing Friday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Archer's rehab start was cut short Sunday due to left hip soreness, but he recently underwent an MRI that came back clean. The right-hander received an injection, and manager Kevin Cash is hopeful that Archer will resume throwing following a brief period of rest. The Rays haven't yet announced when the 32-year-old will resume his rehab assignment, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with a serious setback.

Archer (forearm) was removed from rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Durham after one inning due to a sore left hip, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. He gave up three unearned runs on two hits and no walks before departing.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay was planning on Archer to stretch out to five innings or 75 pitches in what was expected to be his fifth and final rehab start at Durham, but the hip injury foiled those plans. According to Topkin, the Rays described Archer's early exit as precautionary, but the right-hander will presumably need to make at least one more rehab start before he's cleared to return from the 60-day injured list. Archer hasn't pitched for the Rays since April 10 due to forearm tightness.

Archer (forearm) fired 3.2 scoreless innings in Triple-A Durham's loss to Norfolk on Tuesday, allowing a hit and a walk while recording four strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Archer worked up to 59 pitches during the stellar outing, essentially hitting his exact pre-set targets in terms of innings and pitch count. The right-hander now has a 2.79 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 10.2 K/9 and 0.9 HR/9 across 9.2 innings over four rehab starts, and Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports Archer's next outing for the Bulls will come Sunday and feature a target count of 75-80 pitches.

Archer (forearm) is scheduled to cover four innings or 60 pitches in his upcoming rehab start Tuesday at Triple-A Durham, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tuesday's start will mark Archer's third with Durham and the fourth overall of his rehab assignment after he was idle for nearly three months with right forearm tightness. The Rays will likely want Archer to push his pitch count up to the 75-to-90-pitch range before reinstating him from the 60-day injured list, so he'll likely require one more rehab start beyond Tuesday. Perhaps as a reflection of their confidence that Archer and Tyler Glasnow (elbow) will re-emerge as rotation options later in the second half of the season, the Rays dealt away some starting depth Friday, when Rich Hill was shipped to the Mets.

Archer (forearm) allowed an earned run on two hits over three innings while recording four strikeouts in Triple-A Durham's win over Charlotte on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Archer got his one big mistake out of the way early, surrendering a leadoff home run to the Knights' Zach Remillard. He was then impressive the rest of the way, ultimately firing 30 of 44 pitches into the strike zone. The veteran right-hander is likely to log at least two more rehab outings before being deemed ready for activation if the Rays remain steadfast in their intentions to reinsert him back into the rotation right away.
