Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer got roughed up against the Orioles Saturday. He would allow six runs but would manage to go seven innings. It was not a good outing but he managed to eat up innings in the first game of a doubleheader which helped in the second game which they won. Archer's 2018 ERA is currently 5.64. Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer allowed only two runs Tuesday versus the Tigers. He lasted six innings while striking out six. He was unfortunate to take the loss as the Rays would only score once int he game. Archer is an elite strikeout pitcher who has had at least 233 K's in each of the past three seasons. His ERA has been disappointing this season but Tuesday's outing was a positive sign. His next outing is against a very young but talented Atlanta offense.
