Week 23 Outfield Waiver Wire Targets rotoballer.com Sun 9/2/18 3:41 PM

Happy Birthday to me, Rotoballers! But I guess most of you don't care so much about my birthday. While that is quite hurtful, I get it. No hard feelings. I'll go cry to my beautiful fiancée and stare at my multiple fantasy championship belts. That's right, multiple belts. How'd I get multiple belts from different leagues? Grinding and finding value where no one else is looking. Why am I in multiple leagues that reward their champions with WWE-style belts? Fair question, but if your league do[...]

Chris Archer Continues To Struggle In Pittsburgh rotoballer.com Mon 8/27/18 11:44 AM

Since moving to the Pittsburgh Pirates from the Tampa Bay Rays, Chris Archer has been much worse. In his five games with the Pirates he hasn't pitched more than five innings in any contest. That's due mostly to allowing at least five hits in each of those games. He hasn't thrown a shutout game yet regardless of how many innings he has pitched. Archer is regarded as a great talent, but he has a 6.45 ERA in August. That brings him to a 4.72 ERA on the season. [...]

Champ or Chump: Nick Williams and Tyler Glasnow rotoballer.com Thu 8/23/18 3:00 AM

We're taking a closer look at two names who would be nearly universally owned if they put up their current numbers earlier in the MLB season. The 24-year-old Nick Williams has looked like a hitter for Philadelphia, slashing .264/.332/.454 with 17 long balls in 383 PAs on the season. His peripherals don't quite support that much power, though they do suggest that a batting average uptick is forthcoming. Likewise, Tyler Glasnow is finally showing signs of what made him a dominant MiLB pitcher s[...]

Champ or Chump: Joey Wendle and Chris Archer rotoballer.com Mon 8/20/18 3:45 AM

Of all player profiles, Chris Archer's has to be the most bizarre. His raw stuff and strikeout totals suggest an ace, yet his ERA never seems to match up with metrics such as xFIP. Analysts like to say that he's consistently hit hard, but his career BABIP and HR/FB align almost perfectly with the league average. What is going on? This column has tackled this question before, deciding that Brls/BBE is a useless stat for pitchers in the process. This time, we'll look at Statcast's xBA and xSLG [...]

2018 Prospects: Top 30 Impact Rookies for Fantasy Leagues (Week 20) rotoballer.com Wed 8/15/18 2:30 AM

Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season. Ronald Acuna cannot be stopped when leading off a ball game. He has been on a tear lately, seemingly launching home runs with ease every other game. Though he missed some time earlier this year, the former No. 1 prospect in the game has excelled in[...]
