Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly continued his impressive rookie season on Tuesday in a win over the New York Yankees. Kelly went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. It was the rookie catcher's 14th home run of the season and he raised his batting average to .273 in the process. At this point, Kelly is looking like a great investment for the D-backs and the backstop remains a decent fantasy option at a thin position the rest of the season.

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Carson Kelly only had one hit in the 5-2 victory on Wednesday night, but he made it count as he launched a three-run home run for his 12th homer of the season. Kelly is now batting .200 in the month of July, but the home run was his third in his last 10 games. He's not great fantasy material yet but the potential seems to be there, and owners can make some use out of him as a fill-in option on off-days for their normal starting catcher.

The home run was Kelly's 11th to go along with a solid .272 batting average. At an extremely thin catching position, you could do much worse than having Kelly in your lineups the rest of 2019. Keep an eye on the young backstop.
