Carlos Gonzalez Designated For Assignment rotoballer.com Wed 5/22/19 11:41 AM
Cleveland Indians outfielder Carlos Gonzalez has been designated for assignment on Wednesday, opening a roster spot for catcher Eric Haase on the 25-man roster. Gonzalez hit two home runs and drove in 7 RBI to go along with a .210 batting average through 117 plate appearances with the Indians. The 33-year-old also struck out 33 times and did not provide much help to the Indians lineup. Gonzalez should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Carlos Gonzalez In, Oscar Mercado Out of Lineup Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 5/16/19 2:16 PM
Cleveland Indians outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is the designated hitter and batting cleanup on Thursday while outfielder Oscar Mercado sits. Despite calling up Mercado on Tuesday and immediately inserting him in the lineup over Gonzalez, it does not appear the Indians are completely ready to give up on the veteran yet. Mercado struck out three times and was hit by a pitch in his debut, which may factor into Thursday's lineup construction, even though Gonzalez is only hitting .221/.272/.302. If t[...]

Gonzalez started the season in the minors, but he's hit .261/.333/.391 since joining the Cleveland lineup. He's shown he still has some pop in his bat, but he'll likely have some cold streaks at the plate at this point in his career.

Deeper AL-Only Waiver Wire Sleepers for Week 3 rotoballer.com Thu 4/18/19 7:00 AM
Every week in baseball, a significant player will hit the disabled list, slip into a slump, or get traded out of a good spot. How fantasy owners adapt to these situations can make or break the season as a whole. One lousy add might not hurt the long-term standing of a team, but failing to take advantage of breakouts or impact bats before others sure can.The primary challenge of playing in an NL or AL-only league is often the lack of options regarding adding and subtracting players when needed.
