Correa (COVID-19) could return to the lineup in the middle of next week, per manager Rocco Baldelli, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa has returned to Minnesota and has started the testing process to get cleared for a return. Baldelli said he thought Correa would need "at least a couple of days" of being on his feet and working out before he would get back in the lineup, so it sounds like he could return sometime in the series against the Yankees that runs Tuesday through Thursday.

The Twins placed Correa (illness) on the COVID-19-related injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Correa's placement on the IL was fully expected after multiple reports surfaced Monday indicating that the 27-year-old tested positive for the virus. According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Correa is vaccinated, but he isn't feeling well since testing positive and may need more than a few days of recovery time to get his conditioning back in order once he's no longer symptomatic. Minnesota called up Jermaine Palacios from Triple-A St. Paul to provide additional depth in the middle infield, but it's unclear if he'll be deployed as the team's everyday shortstop or if the Twins will rely on a committee of Palacios, Jorge Polanco and Nick Gordon to fill in at the position while Correa is sidelined.

Correa tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, Audra Martin of Bally Sports North reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa wasn't in the lineup for Monday's matchup against the Tigers, and the Twins found out during the game that the shortstop had tested positive for COVID-19. Since Royce Lewis (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday, Correa's absence will leave Minnesota particularly shorthanded at shortstop. Jorge Polanco, Nick Gordon and Jose Miranda should be in the mix for additional playing time while Correa is away from the team.

Correa is on the bench for Monday's contest against the Tigers, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa will get a day off after playing seven straight games, producing 10 hits including two doubles and a homer in those contests. Jorge Polanco will slide over to shortstop and bat third in Monday's matchup with the Tigers.

Correa went 1-for-5 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 10-7 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Brad Keller hung a sinker over the heart of the plate in the top of the fourth inning and Correa capitalized, sending it over the fence in left center field for his third homer of the year. The shortstop has hit safely in five straight games, and in nine contests since returning from a finger injury he's batting .333 (12-for-36) with four doubles, a homer, five runs and five RBI.

Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Correa started the past three games after being reinstated from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, and he'll head to the bench after going 5-for-13 with two doubles, two walks, three RBI and three runs during that span. Nick Gordon will start at shortstop and bat seventh in his place.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and an RBI on Wednesday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Correa returned from the injured list after recovering from a finger injury that cost him nearly two weeks. He singled and scored his first time at the plate and followed that up with an RBI double in the fourth frame. Correa has lacked power early on in the campaign, though the recent uptick in offense around the league bodes well for his potential to experience improved results.

The Twins reinstated Correa (finger) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Correa sustained a finger injury May 5, and although he avoided a fracture, he still sat out nearly two weeks. The 27-year-old will serve as Minnesota's clear top shortstop now that he's healthy, while Royce Lewis will head to the minors to get more consistent playing time at positions other than shortstop. Prior to his absence, Correa hit .255/.320/.372 with two homers, five doubles, 12 runs and 11 RBI over 24 games.

Correa (finger) will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Wednesday's series finale in Oakland, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Rocco Baldelli said after Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Athletics that Royce Lewis would be sent back to Triple-A St. Paul, clearing a spot on the 26-man active roster for Correa, who hasn't played since May 5 due to the right middle finger bone bruise. Though Lewis performed as arguably the Twins' top hitter during his 11-game run as the everyday shortstop, Minnesota won't be too disappointed to usher Correa back into the lineup. Prior to suffering the injury, Correa was hitting .255 with two home runs across 103 plate appearances in his first season in Minnesota.

Correa (finger) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics and remains on the 10-day injured list.
EDGE Analysis
Previous reports indicated that Correa would return from the injured list to play Tuesday, but if that happens, it would be in a bench role, which seems unlikely. The Twins do still believe he could return this series, per MLB.com, which would make Wednesday his new expected return date, as the team has an off day Thursday before traveling to Kansas City on Friday. Royce Lewis will get at least one more start at shortstop as a result.
