Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco was hit hard on Wednesday, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk in just 3 2/3 innings. He did strike out six, but his ERA went up to 3.55 and his record dropped to 15-7. It was a rough start, but "Cookie" is still one of the better fantasy bets in the American League every fifth day.

Tim Beckham (2B/SS/3B, BAL) - Week 20 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Sun 8/12/18 9:02 AM
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 13% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Orioles infielder Tim Beckham started off the season very slow with a .206 batting average in the first half with two HR and 13 RBI. In only 89 plate appearances of the second half, Beckham already has five homers, 15 RBI, and a .303 average. It should be noted that Beckham does not hit the ball with authority, as his hard-hit rate is only 31%. He needs to improve that similar to the rate of 2017 (39%).

Rosters are ever-changing and player values continue to rise and fall, depending on the flavor of the moment. Consider making a couple of moves to keep your team competitive. If you're in jeopardy of missing the playoffs, take a risk to get a player that could make the difference.
The corner infield spots generally offer power bats. However, waiver wire players come with as much downside as they do upside and these power bats could come with their own distinct issues. In this article, I'll di[...]
Carlos Carrasco Coughs Up 10 Hits on Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/7/18 7:47 PM
Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco allowed 10 hits and a walk in 6 1/3 innings on Tuesday. He struck out eight, which helped him limit the damage to just three runs. It wasn't a good outing by any means, as a hit by pitch brought his total base runners allowed to 12 for the evening. He was lucky to escape with a quality start despite the hit parade, but he'll hope for a better outing his next time on the mound.

Carlos Carrasco Cruises Through Twins Lineup rotoballer.com Wed 8/1/18 4:48 PM
Indians starter Carlos Carrasco pitched masterfully against Minnesota on Wednesday. Carrasco gave up four hits with no walks or runs and punched out 10 batters in 7 1/3 innings. The Indians only managed to score twice, but luckily that was enough to earn Carrasco the win. Cookie has been dominant over the course of his past three starts and looks to stay that way next Tuesday once again versus the Twins.
