Joseph is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Chance Sisco will start in his place. Through the Orioles' opening 12 games, Joseph has started seven times to Sisco's five. Sisco has youth and promise on his side, though Joseph is still the primary catcher for now. Neither backstop is performing well to start the season, but Sisco's 52 wRC+ looks a lot better than Joseph's -13 (though of course the sample size is still very small).

Joseph is out of the lineup against the Yankees on Saturday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Expectedly, Joseph will earn a day off after serving behind the plate during Friday's 14-inning victory. In his place, Chance Sisco will catch Chris Tillman and bat ninth.

Joseph is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph will retreat to the bench for the series opener against right-hander Masahiro Tanaka while Chance Sisco gets the start behind the plate. Through four appearances this season, Joseph has gone 2-for-12 with a triple and a pair of RBI.

Joseph is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph seemed to be pegged as the Orioles' primary catcher heading into the season, but this marks the second time in the past three games that he'll cede catching duties to rookie Chance Sisco. Granted, Joseph hasn't notched a hit since Opening Day, but it is early. Sisco has gotten off to a hot start at the plate, so Joseph could be moving into a reserve role sooner than expected if the youngster continues to swing the bat well.

Joseph is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph will get a routine day off after starting the first two games of the season behind the plate. Rookie Chance Sisco will take a turn at catcher and bat ninth Sunday.

Joseph appears to be on top of the depth chart behind the plate at the start of spring training, Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
That said, it's unlikely that the veteran backstop will be the starter all year. Joseph did produce a career-best .700 OPS in 254 at-bats last season, but prospect Chance Sisco is expected to take over behind the dish at some point during the season (if he doesn't claim the pole position with a strong spring). Naturally, Joseph can delay the Sisco takeover by producing during his time as a starter, but the long-term outlook for the 31-year-old isn't great overall.

Joseph agreed to a one-year, $1.25 million deal with the Orioles on Friday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was the second year of arbitration eligibility for Joseph, who will receive a bump of $550,000 this upcoming year. In 2017, he slashed .256/.287/.413 with eight home runs and 28 RBI in 89 games. He will likely continue to remain the backup catcher for the Orioles, as Chance Sisco is set to become the primary catcher in 2018.

Joseph went 1-for-4 and scored a run in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph's two-out single in the fourth inning kept a rally going that led to a three-run homer by the next hitter, Tim Beckham. The catcher hammered out a .286 batting average with a .743 OPS during the season's first half, but his numbers haven't been as good since the All-Star game. Outside of the deepest leagues, owners can find much better options than Joseph at this point in the season.

Joseph is not in Wednesday's starting lineup against Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph continues to rotate with Welington Castillo behind the plate. The duos platoon is nearly a perfect 50-50 split, making the two irrelevant in weekly formats. On the other hand, the O's catchers are respectable options in daily leagues whenever in the starting lineup.

Joseph -- who was a late scratch Saturday after coming down with an illness -- will start behind the plate and bat ninth against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Joseph has worked his way into a near-even platoon role alongside Welington Castillo. The former's .281/.314/.462 slash line sits at career-best marks across the board through 69 games.
