Woo pitched six innings against the Angels on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Woo got through five scoreless frames before the Angels tagged him for two runs in the sixth. The right-hander departed in line for a tough loss but was let off the hook when Seattle rallied for four runs in the ninth. Woo got back on track in the strikeout department, fanning six batters after failing to record a punchout over five frames in his previous outing. His quality start Thursday was the third of his rookie campaign so far.

Woo pitched five innings against Arizona on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out zero batters in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Woo came into the contest with 54 punchouts over 44 big-league frames, so it was surprising to see him tally five innings without recording a single strikeout. Despite that oddity, the rookie righty managed a respectable showing, keeping Arizona off the scoreboard through three frames before allowing three runs over the fourth and fifth. Woo's ability to miss bats is perhaps his most alluring asset in fantasy, and it's logical to expect this outing to be an aberration in that regard. Still, Woo's a risky pitcher to roster in fantasy redraft leagues given a few shaky starts this season as well as the likelihood that he'll be shut down at some point to limit his workload.

Woo (1-3) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk over six-plus innings Sunday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Woo tossed three scoreless frames before coughing up a two-run shot to Vladimir Guerrero in the fourth inning. Woo's given up multiple homers in two straight games after being taken deep just once in his previous four outings. Following a stretch of six consecutive starts allowing two or fewer runs, he's been tagged with 10 runs over his last two appearances. While his ERA rose to 4.91, he's sporting a strong 54:13 K:BB across 44 career MLB innings. Woo's next start is projected to be in Arizona.

Woo (1-2) allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and three walks while striking out four over 3.1 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Woo hadn't given up more than two runs in any of his six previous starts, but he struggled after a 10-day gap between outings. The Twins got to him for two runs in the first inning and then piled on in the third and fourth. Woo is now at a 4.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 47:12 K:BB over 38 innings through eight starts this season. He's lined up for a home start versus the Blue Jays this weekend.

Woo allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Woo was arguably a little sharper than opposing starter Framber Valdez, but both pitchers exited with the game tied 2-2. This was Woo's second straight quality start, and it took him just 78 pitches (50 strikes) to complete six frames. While the four strikeouts matched a season low, he's allowed no more than two runs in each of his last six outings. He's at a 3.63 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB through 34.2 innings over seven starts. The Mariners intend to be careful with the 23-year-old rookie -- he'll likely begin the second half in the rotation, but it's expected he'll be shut down at some point before the end of the season to manage his workload.

Woo, who could still make one more start before the All-Star break Saturday at Houston, is expected to be shut down at some point in the second half of the season in order to preserve his arm, Daniel Kramer of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie right-hander has been outstanding after stumbling out of the gate against the dangerous Rangers in his first major-league start back on June 3, pitching to a 1-0 record, 2.36 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 11.8 K/9 across the 26.2 innings covering his subsequent five outings. However, the Mariners have said all along they'll be careful with Woo, who, when factoring in the 44 frames he logged at Double-A Arkansas before his promotion, has already surpassed the 56 innings he pitched in 2022. General manager Justin Hollander has already alluded to the likelihood Woo will be shut down altogether at some point during the second half, adding "we're not just purely measuring innings; we're measuring stressful innings, how hard they're working in any given outing."

Woo allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking a no-decision in Monday's 6-5 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Woo pitched well and completed six innings for the first time, earning his first quality start. The right-hander has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five starts, though he has just one win to show for it. He's at a 4.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB through 28.2 innings over six career starts. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, a weekend road outing versus the Astros.

Woo allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Woo continues to flash strong strikeout numbers with decent control -- he's at a 32:6 K:BB through 22.2 innings across his five starts. He gave up a run in the first and fifth innings Tuesday, but it was the Mariners' bullpen that cost him a chance at his second win. The rookie right-hander has a 4.37 ERA and 1.24 WHIP, and he's settled down after a shaky debut in Texas on June 3. With Marco Gonzales (forearm) suffering a setback, Woo should remain in the rotation well into July. He's projected to make his next start in San Francisco next week.

Woo (1-1) earned the win over the Yankees on Thursday, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 5.1 scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Seattle set Woo up for success with four runs in the top of the first inning, and the rookie right-hander cruised to his first big-league victory with 5.2 scoreless frames. His three walks were a career high and certainly more than the Mariners wanted to see given the big lead they gave him, but none of the free passes came back to hurt him. Woo struggled in his first big-league start, giving up six runs over two frames against Texas, but he's been much better since, allowing just four runs over his subsequent 15.2 frames and posting a standout 21:4 K:BB over that stretch.

Woo allowed two runs on three hits and struck out nine without walking a batter over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Woo was sharp, though two of the three hits he allowed were solo home runs by Gavin Sheets and Andrew Benintendi. After a rough debut, Woo has turned in a couple of reasonably solid starts. He's still at a 7.30 ERA and 1.30 WHIP through 12.1 innings, but his 20:2 K:BB is a positive sign that he has the control to hang around in the majors. He'll remain in search of his first win next week in a projected road start versus the Yankees.
