McCann went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs scored during Monday's win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
McCann is turning in a respectable fantasy campaign with 14 homers, 55 RBI, 40 runs and a .241/.325/.421 slash line. Those aren't standout marks, but they position him as a serviceable catcher in most settings. Being attached to a prolific offense helps his fantasy floor, too.

McCann is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Since McCann played in the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader, manager A.J. Hinch won't ask the veteran to turn around and handle catching duties for Sunday's contest, which kicks off at 2:10 p.m. EDT. In McCann's stead, Juan Centeno will step in behind the plate and bat eighth.

McCann is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCann went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBI in Sunday's win over the Angels, but he'll head to the bench for Tuesday's series opener as the Rangers send out southpaw Martin Perez. Evan Gattis will take over for him behind the dish for the contest, but McCann will likely be back in the lineup for Wednesday's game with righty Andrew Cashner on the mound for Texas.

McCann went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBI in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
McCann served as the designated hitter in this one with Evan Gattis starting behind the plate, and hit he did. He drove in a run with a fourth-inning single, then produced a bases-clearing triple in the eighth to turn a 5-4 deficit into a 7-5 lead. McCann's triple was his first of the season while his four RBI tied a season high set back on May 16 in Miami.

McCann is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCann will sit in favor of Evan Gattis after going 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in his return from the DL on Thursday. He may ride the pine again Saturday with a lefty in Tyler Skaggs due up for Anaheim, but McCann should be in the lineup against most right-handed pitchers moving forward.

McCann (knee) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, McCann is back with the Astros ahead of Thursday's series finale against the Nationals. Juan Centeno was sent back to Triple-A Fresno following Wednesday's contest to clear room for his return. McCann, who was hitting .232 with 13 homers this season, should immediately reclaim his role as the Astros' starting catcher, though with Evan Gattis (concussion) also nearing a return, he'll soon settle back into a timeshare behind the plate.

Manager A.J. Hinch said McCann (knee) is "almost a certainty" to return from the disabled list Thursday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCann has made solid progress on the disabled list, and barring any setbacks, it appears he'll be back with the Astros when first eligible. When he does return, he should immediately return to his role as the Astros' starting catcher, though with Evan Gattis (concussion) also nearing a return, he'll soon settle back into a timeshare behind the plate.

McCann (knee) is expected to return the Astros' lineup next week, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager A.J. Hinch is confident the inflammation in McCann's knee will subside with the treatment he's undergone and expects McCann to increase his baseball activities over the weekend. He's not expected to require a minor league rehabilitation assignment. The catcher can be activated as early as next Thursday, but If he doesn't, it should be shortly after.
