McCann went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
McCann was placed fifth in the batting order, the highest spot in which he's batted this season after spending most of the season batting eighth. His promotion is more about the failings of others than anything McCann has done. He's batting .273 through 29 games, which is perfectly fine, but miles better than the four batters hitting behind him Tuesday. The quartet of Marwin Gonzalez, Evan Gattis, Josh Reddick and Derek Fisher is hitting a combined .214 (96-for-448).

EDGE Analysis
McCann will receive a routine rest after he was behind the plate for the first two games of the series, with the backstop smacking his third home run of the season as part of a 2-for-4 effort Saturday. Max Stassi will catch for starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel in the series finale.

McCann went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
McCann's fourth-inning homer, his third of the season, was the winning hit in support of starter Charlie Morton, who didn't need much help. With McCann calling the game, Morton fanned a career-high 14 batters and had the Rangers flailing away all game with 23 swinging strikes. McCann, who was making his second straight start at catcher, has not made three consecutive starts all season, so expect him to sit out Sunday's series finale.
