Hinch will manage the workl[...]

Brian McCann Activated Off DL, Starting Saturday rotoballer.com Sat 9/1/18 2:12 PM
Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann (knee) has been activated off the disabled list and is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. McCann has been disappointing at the plate this season hitting .206/.283/.323 heading into Saturday. He'll likely share time behind the plate with Martin Maldonado. McCann is batting eighth and starting behind the plate against righty Felix Pena. McCann does not have enough upside with the bat to warrant using in DFS contests.
Brian McCann Expected To Return Saturday rotoballer.com Tue 8/28/18 2:16 PM
Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann (knee) is back with the team in Houston and is "ready to go," according to manager A.J. Hinch. However, the team is "leaning toward" activating McCann from the disabled list on Saturday, Sept. 1, when roster expand. The veteran McCann has only five homers, 17 RBI and an ugly .206 average in 155 at-bats on the season. He should split time with Martin Maldonado behind the plate down the stretch, but he's merely a consideration in two-catcher leagues at this po[...]

McCann was hitting just .206 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 155 at-bats, and he's basically the team's third best catcher behind Evan Gattis and Max Stassi at this point.
Week 20 Waiver Wire: H2H Category Streamers rotoballer.com Fri 8/10/18 3:00 AM
I like to consider myself a pioneer of the streaming approach. I won a league about seven years ago by completely ignoring saves and just stacking up the starts each week. While streaming is undoubtedly more directly associated with pitching, there's plenty of value in streaming for offense as well.
Maybe you have a stacked roster and you can't drop anyone. But for those of us with a couple of guys on the roster fringes, it's never too early to look into targeting a specific player or two to [...]
Brian McCann Catches Bullpen Session rotoballer.com Mon 8/6/18 4:55 PM
Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann (knee) caught starting pitcher Justin Verlander's bullpen session on Monday, and it was the first bullpen McCann has caught since he had knee surgery. He is "ahead of schedule" in his rehab, but he may not be back with the team until sometime next month. McCann was hitting just .206 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 50 games for the 'Stros. He's merely a part-time backstop/designated hitter at this point in his career and won't do much for fantasy owners.
Surplus to Requirements - Minor Trades and Fantasy Implications rotoballer.com Mon 7/30/18 4:15 AM
For fantasy baseball owners the trading deadline is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, the hope is that players move into better spots on better teams, or at the very least, do not move to worse spots. On the other hand, trades lead to changes, and changes are not always good for players. Closers move to set-up roles, and backups move into starting roles quicker at this points in the season than any other time. As baseball fans it is exciting, but as owners, perhaps not so much.
So then[...]
