Champ or Chump: Tommy Pham and Brian Dozier rotoballer.com Thu 8/2/18 3:00 AM
The Trade Deadline has passed, but the dust is yet to settle for fantasy purposes. The Brewers acquired Jonathan Schoop to apparently share two positions with Travis Shaw and Mike Moustakas. You probably don't want to count on anybody in the timeshare until it's clear how often everyone will play. Jonathan Villar figures to get playing time in Baltimore, making him a potential SB play in fantasy.
Brandon Kintzler, Keone Kela, Brad Ziegler, and Jake Diekman join the ranks of speculative saves [...]

Twins Get Three Players In Return For Brian Dozier rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 11:53 AM
Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers less than an hour before the trade deadline on Tuesday. In return for the veteran, the Dodgers sent second baseman Logan Forsythe, pitching prospect Devin Smeltzer, and outfielder Luke Raley. Forsythe is expected help at second base this season for the Twins, but he has been very disappointing as a hitter (.207 average, two home runs). 23-year-old Raley is a career .286 hitter in two years in the minors, while Sm[...]
Twins Trade Brian Dozier To Dodgers rotoballer.com Tue 7/31/18 11:35 AM
Minnesota Twins veteran second baseman Brian Dozier has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Twins have been unloading a few of their valuable veterans this week and Dozier is the latest. He will instantly upgrade a second base position that has been a struggle for the Dodgers this season (Logan Forsythe and Chase Utley have contributed to a National League-low .211 batting average among second basemen). Dozier owners suddenly find them selves owning a second baseman that is going fro[...]
Friday Five: The All-Underwhelming Team rotoballer.com Fri 7/27/18 3:15 AM
In recent days, there have been plenty of articles written about the best and worst players of the season's first half. It's natural when one comes to a midpoint -; leaving aside the pedantry of pointing out that it was closer to a two-thirds mark this season -; to reflect on what's already happened. It's useful, of course, for how it informs our expectation of the future.
But today, we're going to spend some time talking another group of players. Guys who haven't, you know, been bad or anyth[...]

Buy or Sell - Undervalued and Overvalued Players for Week 17 rotoballer.com Sat 7/21/18 3:00 AM
We've been wheeling and dealing all season (at least hypothetically), but now's the time when the real moves are made. One of the biggest risk-reward propositions a fantasy owner can undertake is to buy or sell a player based purely on speculation of a real-life trade. [...]
Brewers Expected To Target Brian Dozier rotoballer.com Wed 7/18/18 4:38 PM
The Milwaukee Brewers are expected to target Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier now that they've lost out on shortstop Manny Machado. The Brewers will also look to upgrade their pitching. Dozier started off slow but has hit .298 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 15 games this month and is hitting .230 with 16 long balls, 48 RBI and 60 runs on the season. His fantasy value would increase moving to a better lineup in Milwaukee and to a more hitter-friendly environment.
Brian Dozier Comes Up Big With Walk-Off Grand Slam rotoballer.com Sun 7/15/18 3:31 PM
Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier finished off the first half of the season in style on Sunday. Dozier launched a walk-off grand slam to down the Tampa Bay Rays 11-7. The veteran finished the game 2-for-6 with two runs and five RBI. Dozier came to the plate in the bottom of the tenth with the game tied 7-7 and promptly launched his 16th homer of the season. The star second baseman continues to have his name pop up as a likely trade candidate at the deadline and is likely to be playing[...]
Brian Dozier Getting Hot At The Right Time rotoballer.com Fri 7/13/18 8:06 AM
Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier was hitting just .217/.304/.385 through June, but he has hit .318/.388/.659 with four home runs and 11 RBI so far in July to boost his trade value with the deadline approaching and the Twins 7.5 games back in the American League Central. Dozier is now a prime trade candidate, and the Dodgers, Indians, Brewers and Red Sox could be interested. Dozier has the most home runs by a second baseman since the start of the 2016 season with 91.
