Adam Eaton, Brian Dozier Out on Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 9/1/19 12:11 PM

Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton (rest) and second baseman Brian Dozier (rest) are both out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins. Eaton is likely out of the lineup due to the fact that the Marlins have a lefty starter on the mound. Dozier has been in a slump at the plate, so the Nats will give someone else a look. Howie Kendrick will draw the start at second base and bat fifth versus lefty Caleb Smith. Gerardo Parra will bat eighth and play right ...

Brian Dozier Back From Paternity Leave rotoballer.com Thu 8/22/19 5:18 PM

The Washington Nationals activated second baseman Brian Dozier from the paternity list on Thursday. He's back at the keystone and is hitting seventh against Pirates starter Steven Brault. The 32-year-old has been a disappointment in his first year in D.C. with a .236 average, but he does have 19 home runs and 45 RBI at second base for his fantasy owners. He was hot before going on leave, so the Nats and his owners hope he can pick up where he left off. Dozier has been slightly better in the ...

Brian Dozier Placed on Paternity Leave List rotoballer.com Mon 8/19/19 6:23 PM

Washington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier (personal) has been placed on the paternity leave list on Monday. Dozier's wife went into labor, so he will miss the beginning of the upcoming series versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Adrian Sanchez has been recalled to take over the spot on the active roster. Asdrubal Cabrera will cover second base and bat fifth versus righty Trevor Williams on Monday. Cabrera has been hitting well lately, so he's a cheap source of production for DFS contests.

Brian Dozier Returns on Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/13/19 6:37 PM

Washington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier (illness) is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. He's been battling an illness the last few days, so he's been playing off the bench. He'll play second base and bat sixth versus lefty Alex Wood. Dozier doesn't have much upside with the bat this season, but Wood has been roughed up in his first few starts. Dozier could be a cheap DFS option here.

Brian Dozier Won't Play on Monday rotoballer.com Mon 8/12/19 6:23 PM

Washington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier (illness) is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Dozier has not played since Friday due to the flu. Asdrubal Cabrera will cover second base and bat fifth against righty Anthony DeSclafani. Cabrera has some upside with the bat, but probably not enough to warrant ownership in DFS contests.

Brian Dozier is Out for Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 8/11/19 12:50 PM

Washington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the New York Mets. Dozier will get a routine rest day here, but he hasn't been great with the bat anyway. Asdrubal Cabrera will bat sixth and play second base versus righty Jacob deGrom. Cabrera isn't going to have much fantasy value against an elite pitcher like deGrom.
