Marsh was scratched from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Yankees due to an unspecified reason, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After he was originally set to start in center field and bat ninth versus New York, Marsh was removed less than a half hour before the 1:05 p.m. ET opening pitch. Per Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the outfielder fouled a ball off his foot late in Tuesday's victory, which could be the reason why he's taking a seat in the series finale. Cristian Pache will replace Marsh in center field Wednesday.

Marsh (finger) will start in center field and bat ninth in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The broken blood vessel in Marsh's left middle finger will only end up costing him one full day of action. It's been a rather slow spring so far for Marsh -- he's batting .216 with 13 strikeouts in 37 at-bats -- but the expectation remains that he will be at least a strong-side platoon outfielder for Philadelphia to begin the 2023 season.

Phillies manager Rob Thompson announced that Marsh broke a blood vessel in his left middle finger, but he is expected to play in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury occurred Tuesday, but given the outfielder is expected to return to action for Thursday's contest with Detroit, it appears the issue isn't very serious. In his first spring training with the Phillies, Marsh has slashed .216/.341/.351 with one home run and one stolen base over 44 plate appearances.
