Schultz (hip) felt good after his rehab start with Buffalo on Saturday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet reports. He threw two innings, allowing four runs, five hits and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Shultz didn't throw a great game, but in a rehab start, feeling good is perhaps more important than pitching well. Once he gets medically cleared, he will likely return to the Blue Jays as a middle reliever.

Schultz (hip) has progressed to Triple-A Buffalo for the final stage of his rehab assignment where he's expected to pitch Saturday, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Once he's ready to return, Schultz figures to take a place in middle relief as a member of the Jays' bullpen.

Schultz will began a rehab assignment Thursday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz, who is returning from offseason hip surgery, had been pitching to live hitters the last few weeks but is now set to begin a minor league rehab assignment. If the 30-year-old righty experiences no setbacks during his rehab appearances, he could return to the Blue Jays' bullpen in the near future.

Schultz (hip) threw 26 pitches to live hitters for the second time Friday and had no apparent issues, Eddie Michels of Rocket Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz still hasn't appeared in a game since undergoing hip surgery in the offseason, but it appears he is making steady progress back. It's unclear when the right-hander will make his way back into game action, but things should become clearer as he progresses further in his rehab process.

Schultz (hip) was placed on the 15-day disabled listSaturday.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz' placement on the disabled list is retroactive to March 25. The 30-year-old reliever appeared in 31 games with the Blue Jays last season, working a 3.56 ERA with 31 strikeouts and 14 walks across 43.0 innings. He underwent hip surgery during the offseason and will start the year on the disabled list, though he could return as early as next weekend if healthy.

Schultz "felt fine" after throwing 25 pitches in live batting practice for the first time since his offseason hip surgery Friday, John Lott of VICE Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz had a solid 2015, posting a 3.56 ERA in 43 innings of relief for the Blue Jays. Although he will start 2016 on the DL, this is a good sign for his recovery and he is expected to return to action in mid-April.

Shultz gave up one hit and a walk while striking out one in an inning of Wednesday's victory over the Rays. After getting shelled in his second appearance of the season, Shultz's leash looked short; however, he hasn't given up an earned run since. He's now sitting on a 1.59 ERA with a sub-one WHIP to go with it. He also has at least one strikeout in every appearance he's made this season. While he doesn't see the field in high leverage situations, he's quietly established himself as a reliable right-handed arm in the bullpen.

Schultz got touched up, conceding four runs (two earned) in one inning of work in Sunday's 7-6 victory over the Astros. In his second major league appearance of the season, Schultz was the victim of both bad luck and sloppy control. Up 3-2, the Jays brought Schultz in for the seventh where he promptly hit the first batter, with things quickly unraveling from there. Schultz is currently occupying the 25th spot on the roster and will likely have a short leash going forward as the Blue Jays' bullpen carousel continues to spin.

Schultz was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo ahead of Friday's series opener against the Twins, Sportsnet's Barry Davis reports. He'll take over the bullpen spot of Scott Copeland, who was optioned to Triple-A earlier in the day in a corresponding move. The 29-year-old Schultz owns a 1.69 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and has saved seven games over his 21.1 innings with Buffalo this season.

Schultz was sent to minor league camp on Wednesday, John Lott of the National Post reports. Schultz had a really strong spring, pitching eight innings, giving up one hit, two walks and no earned runs across seven appearances. Schultz had an up-and-down year in Triple-A Reno last season, going 10-8 with a 6.18 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP, so his demotion to Triple-A isn't all together surprising, particularly with how strong the bullpen has looked even with Aaron Sanchez moving to the rotation.
