Manager Dave Roberts said Treinen (shoulder) threw 30 pitches off a mound Monday and looked "pretty dang good," Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Roberts said in late June the veteran right-hander was weeks away from resuming mound work, but the reliever apparently made significant progress over the past 10 days. Treinen still needs significant time to build up his arm to game readiness, so he may not be back until August.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Treinen (shoulder) is "weeks away" from resuming mound work, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen was cleared to play catch in early June, and he's ramped up intensity while continuing to throw off flat ground over the last several weeks. In spite of his recent progress in his recovery, the right-hander isn't close to throwing off a mound. Treinen is unlikely to have a better idea of his timetable to return to game action until he clears several more hurdles in his recovery process.

Treinen (shoulder) played catch and made over 60 throws Sunday, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen has been playing catch for over a week, and his activity Sunday suggests that he is progressing in his rehab from right shoulder soreness. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted that the right-handed reliever was fatigued but pain-free following the session. Treinen is currently on the 60-day IL and isn't expected to be ready to return for at least another month.

Treinen (shoulder) played catch Friday at light intensity, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first time he has thrown since injuring his shoulder in mid-April. The session only lasted about five minutes but he came out feeling good and is going to continue with a throwing progression.

Treinen (shoulder) agreed to a one-year extension with the Dodgers on Sunday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen was already under team control for 2023 with an $8 million team option, but he's now officially under contract. According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, the new deal includes a conditional option for 2024. The right-hander is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury, and it's unclear when he's expected to resume throwing, let alone be activated from the 60-day injured list.

The Dodgers transferred Treinen (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Treinen hadn't been cleared to start a throwing program since being initially placed on the 10-day IL on April 22, the Dodgers' decision to move him to the 60-day IL doesn't come as a major surprise. As a result of the transaction, he won't be eligible to make his return until at least late June, and there's a strong chance he'll be sidelined through the All-Star break unless he's able to resume throwing in the next week or two. The move also frees up room on the 40-man roster for Mitch White (illness), who was reinstated from the COVID-19-related IL ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Diamondbacks.

Treinen (shoulder) said Saturday that he hasn't picked up a baseball since going on the injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen's last mound appearance came over a month ago, so the fact that he isn't doing any sort of throwing supports the Dodgers' notion that he won't be able to return until sometime after the All-Star break. Per Ardaya, the right-hander isn't experiencing discomfort in day-to-day activities, and he believes the injury will "work itself out." Daniel Hudson has worked as the primary bridge to closer Craig Kimbrel while Treinen has been out.

Treinen (shoulder) won't undergo an MRI as previously scheduled Monday and will instead begin a rehab program, and he's now expected to return from the injured list until after the All-Star break, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen has been out with the shoulder injury for two weeks, and it's apparently severe enough to sideline him for the next two-plus months. The 33-year-old has yet to resume throwing since landing on the shelf, and he'll likely need to work to strengthen his arm before beginning a throwing program.

Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Treinen (shoulder) will undergo an MRI next week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Treinen has been on the injured list for over two weeks, and he's still dealing with pain in his shoulder. The right-hander hasn't picked up a baseball since landing on the IL, so he'll likely require time to ramp up his intensity once he's ultimately cleared to resume throwing.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Treinen's recovery from his right shoulder injury is "gonna be a longer process," Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was hope immediately after Treinen was placed on the IL that he could be back after a minimum stay, but that possibility has already passed. To this point, there has been no word about Treinen doing any sort of throwing, and Roberts' comment Sunday suggests that he is a way off from a return. If the right-hander's absence continues to linger, there's a good chance he could need a rehab stint before being activated.
