Jackson is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
This will just be a standard day off for Jackson, as the outfielder earned a breather after starting the past five games. In that span, he is 7-for-21 at the plate, with two extra-base hits and one RBI. Brandon Guyer will get the start in right field for the series finale.

Jackson is out of the lineup Thursday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson had found his way into back-to-back starts in right field, but he'll head to the bench in favor of Brandon Guyer in the series finale. Despite the day off, look for Jackson to see semi-regular playing time in the outfield, at least until the return of Lonnie Chisenhall (calf), who recently resumed taking batting practice.

Jackson will start in right field and bat seventh Wednesday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
It's Jackson's second start in as many games since returning from the disabled list earlier this week, and with Lonnie Chisenhall (calf) still sidelined and Abraham Almonte having been optioned back to Triple-A Columbus, the veteran outfielder looks like he could be primed to see regular at-bats for the time being. Despite often seeing sporadic starts when he hasn't been injured this season, Jackson has managed to stay productive at the plate, amassing an impressive .321/.400/.509 line over 125 plate appearances.

Jackson (quadriceps) was activated from the 10-dayd disabled list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the veteran outfielder will return from the DL to resume his role as a right-handed compliment to the plethora of left-handed outfielder in Cleveland. He should see periodic starts in center field as a replacement for Mike Zimmer when left-handed pitchers are on the mound for the opposition. To make room for Jackson on the active roster, Tyler Olson was sent back to the minors.

Indians manager Terry Francona said Jackson (quadriceps) would be activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson hasn't experienced any issues with his quad over five rehab games with Triple-A Columbus, during which he's gone 5-for-17 at the plate. Upon rejoining the Indians, Jackson should settle into the shorter end of a platoon in the outfield with either Abraham Almonte or Bradley Zimmer.

Jackson went 1-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and two strikeouts in his first rehab assignment Sunday with Triple-A Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Seeing live action for the first time in three weeks, Jackson looked good overall in the Clippers' 3-0 victory. He was penciled in as the DH, so the next step will be logging some outfield innings. If no setbacks occur, Jackson should be back with the big-league club in another week or so.

Jackson (quad) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson experiencing no issues with his left quad while running the bases over the last few days, so he'll advance to the final stage of the recovery process. He's been sidelined for about three weeks with the injury and likely won't require a lengthy rehab assignment, so he could potentially rejoin the Indians later in the week. Once that happens, he could settle into the soft side of a platoon in right field.

According to manager Terry Francona, Jackson (quadriceps) is "doing really well" and getting close to playing in games, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson landed on the 10-day DL in late June with a left quad strain. He's been receiving treatment at Progressive Field, and running bases at Mahoning Valley. Once cleared, the outfielder will head off on a rehab assignment before returning to the Tribe in late July -- assuming all goes well before then.

Jackson was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a left quad strain.
EDGE Analysis
The injury stems from Sunday's contest against the Twins, in which Jackson was forced to leave the game with tightness. After undergoing further tests Monday, it appears the ailment is serious enough to earn him a second trip to the DL, as he was missed most of May with a toe injury. The prevailing timetable puts him on track to return just prior to the All-Star break, though the team may choose to hold him out until after the Midsummer Classic as a precaution. Right-handed reliever Brandon Armstrong will take his spot on the roster.

Jackson is having his strained left quad scanned Monday to determine the extent of the injury, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson, who exited Sunday's game with the injury, is currently listed as day-to-day while he recovers, but a trip to the DL could be announced Tuesday if trainers deem it necessary. With Brandon Guyer and Michael Brantley both returning from injuries Monday, the Indians' outfield has suddenly become a difficult space to find playing time, which is troubling news for the 30-year-old. The team will likely update his status in due time.
