Kittredge was sent down to Triple-A Durham prior to Friday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kittredge has bounced between Durham and Tampa Bay a few times over the past couple weeks, making four appearances with the Rays since July 18. The right-hander took the loss during Thursday's extra-inning affair with New York, posting a solid 10th inning, but giving up a walk-off home run to Brett Gardner on the second pitch in the 11th. Kittredge has pitched tremendously well at the Triple-A level this season, with a 1.72 ERA and 1.13 WHIP, and could make a return to the big-league club in the near future. In a corresponding move, the Rays recalled Austin Pruitt on Friday, for his second start of the season.

Kittredge was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kittredge was sent back to the minors just two days earlier, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club following Jake Odorizzi's (lower back) surprise placement on the disabled list. The Rays aren't expected to carve out a major role in the bullpen for Kittredge, who figures to see most of his appearances as a mop-up man in less competitive contests.

Kittredge was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday.

The Rays will swap Kittredge out of their bullpen for Sergio Romo, who the team acquired from the Rays over the weekend. Kittredge made three appearances during his first stint in the big leagues, tossing 2.1 innings and giving up one run while striking out three.

Kittredge allowed an earned run on three hits over two-thirds of an inning in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old enjoyed a solid debut Tuesday by turning a scoreless effort, but the Athletics got to him for a double, single and run-scoring bunt single in the sixth. Kittredge was enjoying a stellar season at Triple-A Durham before being summoned to the big-league club on July 16, so the potential is there for him to serve as another viable option for manager Kevin Cash if the team opts to give him an extended look.
