Cashner (finger) will not start Friday against the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner exited his previous start due to a hot spot on his middle finger, and it appears the issue is bothersome enough to keep him from making his next start on schedule. It remains to be seen whether the blister will force the right-hander to miss more than one turn through the rotation. The Orioles are expected to announce a replacement starter for Cashner following Thursday's game.

Cashner was lifted from his start Saturday against the Astros after 87 pitches due to a hot spot on his middle finger, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner had been pitching quite well, allowing just a single run in six innings. He struck out just three batters but allowed only one walk and four hits. It's not clear whether the finger issue puts his next start (scheduled for Friday at home against the Red Sox) at risk.

Cashner (leg) is scheduled to start Saturday against the Astros, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner is apparently dealing with some leg soreness, so the Orioles wanted to give him a couple of extra days to rest before his next start. David Hess is now scheduled to get the ball for Baltimore on Thursday, while Gabriel Ynoa will start Friday's series opener in Houston.

Cashner (6-2) allowed six runs on eight hits with zero strikeouts and five walks across five innings while earning a victory against the Giants on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old has continued to rack up the wins despite subpar pitching. In this performance, he failed to record a strikeout for the first time in 2019. Cashner also allowed five walks in an outing for the first time since Sept. 14, 2017. Cashner only won two starts in May, but in both wins, he gave up at least five runs. Overall, he is 6-2 with a 5.04 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 64.1 innings this season. Cashner will start again at the Rangers on Thursday.

Cashner (5-2) allowed five runs on eight hits in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Rockies. He struck out five and walked none in his five innings of work.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was far from his best, but did well considering the thin air at Coors Field. It was the right-hander's first start of the season in which he didn't issue a free pass. Cashner did see his ERA rise to 4.55 with a 1.33 WHIP through 59.1 innings. He'll likely have an easier time when he faces the Giants on Friday at home.

Cashner gave up three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three through six innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Even though he only registered seven swinging strikes, Cashner delivered his third consecutive quality start. The right-hander has a 4-2 record with a 4.14 ERA and a 43:20 K:BB through 10 starts this season. Cashner will have a tough matchup in his next start Saturday against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Cashner (4-2) allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner was a tough-luck loser, as he largely shut down the Yankees' lineup with the big blow against him coming on a solo home run by Gleyber Torres in the fourth inning. Despite the strong results, homers remain an issue for Cashner, as he's now allowed 1.5 HR/9. Still, he's been on a strong run to begin the season, allowing more than three earned runs only once since his Opening Day start against the Yankees. The result has been a respectable 4.10 ERA and 1.32 WHIP to go along 40 strikeouts across 48.1 innings. He'll look to continue his early season success in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday against the Yankees.

Cashner won't make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Yankees due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
With the Orioles scheduled to play a doubleheader Wednesday, Cashner will likely start one of the two contests, per Joe Trezza of MLB.com. David Hess has been confirmed as the starting pitcher for the other half of the twin bill.

Cashner allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings Wednesday against the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Cashner held the Red Sox largely in check, allowing only a solo home run to Mookie Betts in the third inning. He limited his mistakes, issuing only one free pass and allowing no extra-base hits besides the solo home run. Though highly volatile on a start-to-start basis, Cashner has proven to carry some value, accruing a 4.25 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across his first eight starts this season. However, he'll draw a tough assignment in his next start, pitching at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.

Cashner was charged with five runs (four earned) over four innings while taking a no-decision Wednesday in a 7-6 loss to the White Sox in the nightcap of a doubleheader. He scattered six hits and two walks and struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The season-high strikeout total was about the only silver lining on an otherwise underwhelming night for Cashner. The right-hander has been able to scoop up four of the Orioles' 11 wins on the season over his seven starts, but his ratios remain a major drag on his fantasy value.
