Alex Gonzalez's solo home run in the third inning would provide all the offense in Atlanta's 1-0 win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Gonzalez's 11th home run of the season was his third of the month and fourth since the All-Star break. Still hitting just .233/.259/.345 on the year, however, he's about out of mixed-league usefulness.

Alex Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with a go-ahead RBI single and a run scored in a 4-1 win over the Phillies in 10 innings Saturday. And he better send Ryan Howard a thank you card. It appeared that Gonzalez was going to be out on a foul pop-up, but Howard gave him new life after dropping the ball while trying to make a basket catch. Brian McCann quickly followed with a two-run blast to provide some valuable insurance. Craig Kimbrel pitched a perfect bottom of the tenth for his 28th save in 33 chances.
