Dickerson (oblique) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson was unavailable Thursday and later told Kerry Crowley of the Mercury News, "It hasn't felt right since I came back (from the injured list)." While Dickerson seems to think he could return during next week's homestand, the Giants are reportedly unsure when Dickerson will be able to play again. Austin Slater is making his second straight start in the outfield after Jaylin Davis made back-to-back starts earlier in the week.

Dickerson (oblique) remains on the bench Friday against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson has been dealing with a sore oblique, though it's not clear whether that's the reason for his absence Friday. He likely would be sitting even if healthy against lefty Clayton Kershaw, especially because Jaylin Davis appears to be moving ahead of him on the depth chart, though it's Austin Slater who starts in right field on this occasion.

Dickerson (oblique), who is not in Thursday's lineup against the Cardinals, could lose out on playing time over the rest of the season following the promotion of Jaylin Davis.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old has been a productive hitter this season with the Giants, hitting .308/.374/.579 with six home runs in 46 games, but he is not a great defender. Davis, on the other hand, is only 25 years old and has more long-term upside. While Davis hits right-handed, it seems unlikely that the Giants would have called him up this month if they only intended on giving him starts against lefties, and indeed, he is starting in right field against a righty in Thursday's game. It's also worth noting that Dickerson's oblique is still bothering him, per Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News. The outfielder said he hasn't felt right since returning from the injured list in August, though a recent MRI came back clean.

Dickerson is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson's absence is notable because he will be held out against a right-handed starter for just the second time since returning from the injured list Aug. 16. Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle noted that Dickerson did not look comfortable during any of his at-bats in Tuesday's contests, so he may still be dealing with the effects of the oblique injury that landed him on the injured list in the first place. The Giants have not commented on Dickerson's health of late, but if he is indeed not 100 percent, that could mean more playing time for Jaylin Davis and Austin Slater the rest of the way.

Dickerson is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Oakland, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Dickerson went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson got aboard with a double in the sixth inning and scored on an Evan Longoria single. He then singled in the eighth inning and scored the tying run on a wild pitch by A.J. Puk. Dickerson has been productive with a .328/.385/.603 line with six homers, 26 RBI and 28 runs scored in 50 games this year between the Giants and Padres.

Dickerson went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored while batting cleanup in Wednesday's 12-11 loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Dickerson returned to the lineup after being situated on the bench for the Giants' last two contests. The 29-year-old responded with his first multi-hit game since being activated from the injured list Aug. 14. Dickerson has started just three of seven contests since returning, and while a couple of those absences can be attributed to platooning, it is apparent that the club is treating the outfielder with kid gloves in an effort to not aggravate his back. That said, we could see him back in the starting nine against the right-handed Kyle Hendricks on Thursday.
