Save Risers: 2018 MLB Season Recap rotoballer.com Mon 11/5/18 7:10 AM
The 2018 season has now come and gone (so sad!), so it is now time to dive into trends and projections for next season! A tough statistic to find trends on is saves, as a lot of success for closers comes from success from teams. There are also a lot of bullpens by committee these days, further stifling the value of closers. That being said, only four of the pitchers that ranked in the top-10 in saves in 2017 followed up in 2018. One of those pitchers had a huge jump in saves, but [...]

Today and every Tuesday moving forward throughout the 2018 MLB season, we will take a deep dive into some of the lesser-owned relief pitchers on the market that are worth keeping tabs on.
This can be a good tool for those in deeper holds leagues, although any pitcher in a position to make a move on their respective team's closer job will get priority.
Below are my relief pitchers to target for Week 16 of the fantasy baseball season. Let's get to it.

Sergio Romo (RP, TB) - Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Fri 7/13/18 4:53 AM
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 48% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Sergio Romo has been a man of many talents this season, pitching as a starter, middle reliever, and closer for Tampa Bay. Since moving into the closer's role, after the trade of Alex Colome, Romo has turned into a lock down closer.
Romo is 1-2 with a 3.95 ERA with 11 saves this season, but 10 of those saves have come since June 1 and he has a 1.37 ERA in 19 2/3 innings in the same time span.[...]
Alex Colome Will Pitch on Thursday rotoballer.com Thu 6/7/18 2:12 PM
Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Alex Colome has not pitched in four games. Manager Scott Servais said that he will pitch in Thursday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays. Colome has a 3.51 ERA, 27 strikeouts, and 12 saves this season. He's not going to see many save chances because of Edwin Diaz. However, he should be owned in all leagues that value bullpen pitchers.
MLB Closers and Saves Report Week 10 rotoballer.com Fri 6/1/18 3:05 AM
The Mariners and Rays lit up the stove last week with the first major trade of the season, with the Rays sending Alex Colome and Denard Span to the Mariners. Colome had finally started to figure things out as the Rays closer, but he immediately moved into a setup role behind Mariners star closer Edwin Diaz. It's probably a better fit for Colome in terms of "real life" baseball, but it makes him worthless in standard fantasy leagues.
Nothing as exciting as a closer being traded happened this w[...]

Alex Colome Earns A Save Saturday Versus Los Angeles rotoballer.com Sun 5/20/18 12:34 AM
Tampa Bay Rays closer Alex Colome came in to end the late rally by the Angels Saturday. The Angels had just gotten a two-run HR by Mike Trout to close the deficit to 5-3 with no outs in the ninth inning when manager Kevin Cash called for Colome. He would set down three straight batters to close the game out. The save would be his 10th of the season. It has been a rough season early on, but Colome had a long leash, as he had tallied 84 saves the past two seasons. Stick with Colome in all leagues,[...]
