Bregman (elbow) hit, threw and fielded groundballs Thursday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The star infielder continues to progress well following arthroscopic elbow surgery in January. Bregman has yet to throw to first base after fielding the groundballs, but he did comment that he is throwing harder and farther than he expected to be doing at this point. As long as he doesn't encounter any setbacks, he figures to be fully ready by Opening Day.

Bregman (elbow) resumed hitting Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman underwent arthroscopic surgery in mid-January to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. He was expected to be limited to start spring training, which still appears likely, given that players are due to report in less than two weeks. Barring setbacks, he should be ready to go by Opening Day.

Bregman has yet to resume hitting following arthroscopic elbow surgery, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman is reportedly under orders from the team's training staff to take things slowly, so it's not particularly surprising that he's yet to hit, given that it's been only 15 days since the procedure. It was suggested at the time of his surgery that he'd be limited to start spring training, and the latest reports seem to support that timeline. There haven't been suggestions that his status for Opening Day is in doubt, but if a setback does occur, expect Aledmys Diaz to move into the starting lineup temporarily.

Bregman's recovery from elbow surgery is expected to limit him for the start of spring training, but the infielder should be ready to play before Opening Day against the Rays on March 28, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman approached the Astros a couple of weeks ago about discomfort in his right elbow. An exploratory procedure discovered loose bodies, leading Bregman and the club to decide on an operation to remove the debris. If there's any delay, the Astros can use Aledmys Diaz or Yuli Gurriel as a replacement until Bregman is ready to play. Per Bregman's Twitter feed, he feels he'll be ready to go.

Bregman underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The issue didn't seem to bother Bregman last season as he hit an excellent .286/.394/.532 with 31 homers on the way to a fifth-place finish in the American League MVP race. He is expected to to be limited in spring training but ready to go by the start of the regular season. If recovery takes longer than planned, Aledmys Diaz could see an expanded role early in the season.

Bregman will serve as the Astros' leadoff hitter for Game 4 of the ALCS against Boston on Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager A.J. Hinch will try and shake things up after Houston only managed to scratch across two runs during Tuesday's defeat. In that outing, Bregman provided a pair of the club's seven hits, going 2-for-3 with one RBI and a walk. George Springer will bat second while Jose Altuve moves to the third spot in the order.

Bregman will not start during Game 1 of Saturday's twin bill versus Baltimore but is set to bat third and start at shortstop for the nightcap, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager A.J. Hinch will give each of his regulars some rest during the doubleheader, so Bregman will take a seat for the matinee. In Game 1, J.D. Davis will start at third base and hit seventh.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman gave Houston an early lead with a two-run homer in the first inning. It was Bregman's 31st homer of the season and snapped a drought of 14 games without one, a stretch in which the third baseman hit just .163 (8-for-49). With the Astros clinching the AL West on Tuesday, Bregman and other regulars may get some days off over the final five days of the regular season.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman's two-run double in the fifth gave Houston a lead it would never relinquish. The two RBI were his 99th and 100th of the season while the double was his 50th, making him the only third baseman to his 50 doubles and 30 home runs in a season. The last player to accomplish that feat was Albert Pujols.
