Astros manager Dusty Baker said that Bregman won't start in Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
After he was sidelined for just over three weeks with a strained hamstring, Bregman returned from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. He started in the front end of a twin bill with Oakland, going 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts before sitting out the nightcap. Both Baker and general manager James Click have indicated that Bregman will eased back into action slowly, so his absence from the lineup for a second straight game appears to be precautionary. Bregman should check back into the lineup for Thursday's series finale with the Athletics, and with a team off day on tap Friday, he could play both games of the Astros' weekend series in Los Angeles versus the Dodgers.

Bregman is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the A's, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old came off the injured list to start in Game 1 of Tuesday's twin bill, and he went 0-for-3 with one walk and two strikeouts. The Astros won't push Bregman immediately after being activated, so he'll take a seat for Game 2.

Bregman (hamstring) is starting at third base and hitting second in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against Oakland, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As promised, Bregman is off the injured list after missing almost three weeks with a hamstring injury. He may get a maintenance day here and there down the stretch in an effort to prevent re-injury.

Bregman (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Monday against Oakland but will be activated ahead of Tuesday's contest, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman was expected to miss three weeks after straining his hamstring in mid-August, and he'll wind up returning more or less on schedule. The third baseman considered himself fully healthy back on Thursday, though it's still possible the Astros ease him back into action with the occasional off day.

Manager Dusty Baker said Sunday that he hopes Bregman (hamstring) is ready for the team's upcoming series against the A's, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports. Baker added that the team is going to be "pretty cautious" with Bregman and his hamstring.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman deemed himself "100 percent" Thursday, but he did not receive clearance from the training staff to return for this weekend's series against the Angels. It sounds like Bregman will receive semi-regular maintenance days once he's back on the active roster, with the Astros focused primarily on getting him back to full strength in time for the postseason.

Bregman (hamstring) took batting practice Thursday and is close to coming off the injured list, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Kaplan, Bregman said he is 100 percent healthy, so his activation should come any day now. He also did some running and fielding Wednesday, with his hamstring apparently responding well to the activity. Aledmys Diaz will act as Houston's primary third baseman until Bregman is deemed ready to go.

Bregman (hamstring) could join the Astros for their upcoming road trip in hopes of returning from the injured list before it ends, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bregman was expected to miss at least three weeks after straining his right hamstring in mid-August. He'll hit that three-week mark a week Sept. 9, and the Astros' road trip runs from Sept. 4 to Sept. 13, so he appears to be still on that schedule.

Bregman (hamstring) has reported to the Astros' alternate site and has resumed running, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear what speed Bregman is running at, but manager Dusty Baker viewed a video of the session and said Bregman "looks good." While it's a good sign Bregman is up on his feet, he is still expected to be out several more weeks.

Bregman (hamstring) will miss at least three weeks, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Houston general manager James Click confirmed that news Sunday. "We're hoping it's a three-week thing," Click told the Astros' radio broadcast. "Initially, that's kind of the timetable we're looking at. But obviously with all of these things, we have to be patient. We have to wait for things to calm down there and see how he responds to treatment." Bregman suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against the Rockies. Since then, he's been replaced by Abraham Toro at third base and Carlos Correa at third in the batting order.

The Astros placed Bregman (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll leave the Astros' ongoing road trip and return to Houston to undergo an MRI on his strained right hamstring, an injury he sustained in Wednesday's win over the Rockies. Bregman becomes the third major Houston hitter to land on the IL in the past week, joining Yordan Alvarez (knee) and Michael Brantley (quadriceps). A clearer timeline for Bregman's return should become available once his MRI results are read, but while he's sidelined, Abraham Toro, Jack Mayfield and Yuli Gurriel are the main candidates to see more time at third base.
