Asher didn't get out of the first inning Wednesday against the Mets, giving up a three-run homer followed by a two-run homer while recording two outs.
EDGE Analysis
Fortunately, he managed to avoid taking his sixth loss in six MLB starts thanks to a comeback by the Phillies' offense, with some major help from the Mets' bullpen. His season is likely over, which means he'll finish with an even 9.00 ERA -- 27 runs, all earned, in 27 innings.

Asher (0-5) pitched well Thursday in Miami, as he allowed just one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four in seven innings, but took another loss.
EDGE Analysis
Asher's managed to take the loss in all five of his starts in the majors this year, but where the other ones were ugly efforts, this was quite a solid outing, albeit against a bit of a piecemeal Marlins offense. The Phillies will take the positives where they can find them at this point, as their rotation has been ugly this year. Asher is scheduled to make his next -- and possibly final -- start against the Mets on Wednesday.

Asher allowed four runs on seven hits over five innings in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals. He struck out four and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Asher has lost all four of his starts since his promotion from Triple-A. He has a 9.78 ERA and an 11:7 K:BB ratio in 19.1 inning. He will likely stay in the rotation for the remainder of the year despite the poor results because the Phillies lack other options.

Asher's next start has been moved up to Wednesday against the Nationals, the Morning Call's Stephen Gross reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a minor tweak, as Adam Morgan, the originally scheduled starter for Wednesday's game, will instead pitch Friday against the Braves. Neither pitcher is very intriguing for fantasy purposes.

Asher (0-3) allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks across five innings in a loss to the Cubs. He struck out just two.
EDGE Analysis
Asher really struggled in this games as he allowed three home runs and drew only five called strikes. Clearly, he wasn't fooling Cubs hitters and it will be tough for him to do anything on such a poor team. Asher is simply a young arm that the Phillies want to get some starts to, to see what they are dealing with. Asher's next start is scheduled for next Friday against a much easier offense in Atlanta.

Asher was hammered Saturday, giving up seven runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
His first two big league starts have gone very poorly, and Asher now has a 10.61 ERA and 2.04 WHIP. The Phillies will likely continue to let him sink or swim though, with his next outing coming Thursday at home against the Cubs.

Asher, 23, has a 3.69 ERA and 31:12 K:BB ratio through 31.2 innings for Double-A Frisco. Asher has been a tad wild to begin the 2015 campaign; he walked just 32 batters in 154 innings at the same level last season. Still, his strikeout rate has improved thus far in his second go-round at Double-A.
