St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright evened his record at 2-2 with a win on Wednesday afternoon. He tossed six innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out three. Wainwright has seemingly either been great or awful this season, bringing his ERA to a mediocre 3.96. He's a risky fantasy piece because of his inconsistency, but he's shown that he still has the ability to get batters out.

He struck out three and needed 86 pitches to get nine outs. It was a struggle for the veteran throughout, as his ERA rose to 4.74. He's shown that he still has "it" in earlier starts, but he's likely to remain inconsistent and isn't a great fantasy option in most formats.
