Week 18 Waiver Wire - Catcher rotoballer.com Thu 7/26/18 3:15 AM

With the second half of baseball now in full swing, teams are doing their best to make a late season playoff push. As the trade deadline approaches, teams around the league will drastically change as they do their best to try and win the World Series. As the MLB landscape changes, so will Fantasy Baseball. With multiple injuries, trades and overall depth chart transactions, different players will become viable in fantasy leagues. One of the hardest positions to manage is catcher. With only li[...]

Phillies Considering Adam Jones rotoballer.com Wed 7/25/18 10:45 AM

The Philadelphia Phillies are considering Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones after losing out on Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado. Jones is known as a great clubhouse leader, although the left side of the infield and the bullpen are bigger needs in Philadelphia. Jones is hitting .277 with 10 home runs and 38 RBI on the season and would be an upgrade over Nick [...]

AL-Only Waiver Wire Team of the Week: MLB Week 17 rotoballer.com Mon 7/23/18 3:15 AM

Every week in baseball, a significant player will hit the disabled list, slip into a slump, or get traded out of a good spot. How fantasy owners adapt to these situations can make or break the season as a whole. One lousy add might not hurt the long-term standing of a team, but failing to take advantage of breakouts or impact bats before others sure can. The primary challenge of playing in an NL or AL-only league is often the lack of options regarding adding and subtracting players when neede[...]

Adam Jones Out Of Lineup Sunday At Blue Jays rotoballer.com Sun 7/22/18 7:15 AM

Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones (rest) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays. Nothing has been mentioned regarding injuries, so this appears to be just a routine day off. Joey Rickard will man center field in his place. Rickard is hitting just .213 against lefties this season so he should be avoided as J.A. Happ takes the mound for the Blue Jays.

2018 Prospects: Top 30 Impact Rookies for Fantasy Leagues (Week 16) rotoballer.com Wed 7/18/18 2:30 AM

Hello everyone, and welcome to my weekly Top-30 Fantasy Rankings for Impact Rookies! In this series, I will be going over the top prospects in baseball and discussing which ones figure to have an impact for the rest of this fantasy baseball season. Happy All-Star Break everyone! The Home Run Derby was electric, the Futures Game was exciting and as of my writing this, the All-Star Game hasn't happened, but I'm sure it will be great too. Once the break passes though, it will be getting into[...]

Are You For Real? Surprising SP Starts (Week 16) rotoballer.com Tue 7/17/18 3:00 AM

Welcome to our surprising starts series. Every week we'll be going over a few surprising starting pitcher performances around the majors to determine whether these starts were smoke and mirrors or something more. Normally this article covers three pitchers, butt this week we're going a little deeper on two pitchers that have garnered little interest from fantasy owners this season despite positive trends from both. Yefry Ramirez was dealing Saturday night against the Rangers, and has sneak[...]

Trading Up: Mid-Tier and Bargain Buys (Pitchers) rotoballer.com Mon 7/16/18 3:30 AM

This article is the third in our series on trade targets for the second half of the season. Part 1 focused on players generally ranked in the top 50. Part 2 focused on mid-tier and bargain targets for offense. This installment focuses on pitchers ranked outside the top 50. Part four will focus on players to target for specific categories rather than positional improvement. For these pitchers, I've included both ownership levels and consensus rank (CR) to indicate their current valuation and r[...]

Adam Jones Drives In Three Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 7/15/18 7:16 PM

Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones had a big day in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Rangers, going 2-for-4 with a single, a bases-clearing double, and three RBI. The 32-year-old will round out the first half of the season with a solid .275 batting average, 10 home runs, and 36 RBI in 92 games. He isn't a massive contributor to fantasy teams but he is consistent and can stay in owners' lineups most of the time.

Indians Could Land Adam Jones rotoballer.com Fri 7/13/18 10:59 AM

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones is in play as the Orioles and Indians have trade discussions. Cleveland is looking for a right-handed outfield back. The Tribe's outfield could use some upgrades with Bradley Zimmer injured on the farm and Lonnie Chisenhall out, and Jones would not only be an upgrade on the field but an asset in the clubhouse. The veteran is set to be a free agent next year and is hitting .275 with 10 home runs, 33 RBI and 36 runs scored in 367 at-bats. He'd certainly see [...]
