Duvall is out of the lineup in part Tuesday because he's sick, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It helps explain why Duvall is on the bench for a third time in four games, although his struggles over the last month are also no doubt a contributing factor. It sounds like he could be ready to play Wednesday, but at this point it's looking like Jarren Duran might have the leg up for playing time in center field against right-handers.

Duvall is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Rangers, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall has now been on the bench for three consecutive games when the opposition starts a right-hander, making one start against a lefty over that stretch (and going 0-for-5 with four strikeouts). He's hitting only .154/.247/.262 with a 36 percent strikeout rate since returning from the injured list and could be falling into a short-side platoon role in center field with Jarren Duran.

Duvall is not in the lineup for Sunday's game at Toronto, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republicanreports.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall has gone 4-for-31 with 14 strikeouts over his past eight appearances and will take a seat Sunday for the second time in Boston's past three games. Jarren Duran will roam center field and bat leadoff Sunday.

Duvall is out of the lineup Friday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Jarren Duran will start in center field and bat leadoff versus the Blue Jays and right-hander Jose Berrios. Duvall has slashed just .167/.265/.283 in 68 plate appearances since he returned June 9 from a two-month IL stint for a fracture in his left wrist.

Duvall is not in the lineup Wednesday versus the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Jarren Duran will start in center field and bat leadoff as the Red Sox face off against the Twins and right-hander Sonny Gray. Duvall is slashing .177/.282/.324 with 12 strikeouts in 10 games since he returned June 9 from a two-month absence to heal a left wrist fracture.

Duvall went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-4 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall launched his first home run since returning from the 60-day injured list. After an otherworldly start to the season (1.544 OPS in eight games), Duvall suffered a wrist injury and is still working to find his timing. The Red Sox have managed to give Duvall consistent at-bats in center field while Jarren Duran remains on the roster. He's batting .176 with 12 strikeouts over 39 plate appearances since his activation, but Duvall has hits in three of the last four games and knocked in runs in three straight.

Duvall isn't starting the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall will get a breather after he went 2-for-4 with an RBI during Sunday's matinee. Jarren Duran is taking over in center field and leading off.

Duvall is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall will head to the bench for the series finale after he returned from the 60-day injured list Friday and went 1-for-6 with a walk and a stolen base while making starts in center field the past two days. Jarren Duran will get the nod in center Sunday, but Duvall looks as though he could settle back in as the Red Sox's preferred option at the position while Duran has been stuck in a prolonged swoon at the dish.

Duvall went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Duvall went 0-for-3 on Friday in his return from a wrist injury that landed him on the 60-day injured list. He was able to knock a hit Saturday, and he avoided a strikeout after taking three of them Friday. The outfielder may still need to work on finding his timing at the plate after the long absence. He's batting .410 with four home runs, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored and one steal through 10 contests, and he should have a path to near-everyday playing time as long as he remains healthy.

Duvall (wrist) was activated from the 60-day injured list Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Duvall is back in the fold when first eligible. He had posted a ridiculous 1.544 OPS with four home runs and 14 RBI through eight games this season prior to suffering a fractured left wrist in early April. The 34-year-old also hit well on a seven-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester, recording three extra-base hits -- including two homers -- over 24 at-bats. Duvall's career .764 OPS suggests it's unlikely he'll pick up where he left off in April, but he could be a reliable source of power the rest of the way for Boston.
