No Timetable For Aaron Sanchez's Return rotoballer.com Fri 7/20/18 1:26 PM
There is no clear timetable for the return of Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (finger). With Jaime Garcia now in the bullpen, Marco Estrada and Ryan Borucki are expected to round out the team's starting rotation to start the second half of the season. Sanchez hasn't pitched since June 21 and will likely need several rehab starts before returning. He wasn't pitching all that well before his injury either, so fantasy owners should be in no rush to add him back.
Aaron Sanchez To Move To Bullpen Session rotoballer.com Tue 7/10/18 3:37 PM
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (finger) has thrown long toss on back-to-back days with no issues and will move to a bullpen session in the next few days. Sanchez could be back in late July, but there is still no timetable for him. He's been a disappointment with a 4.52 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 67 strikeouts in 79 2/3 innings over 15 starts. He's no longer a must-hold in standard mixed leagues.
No Firm Timeline For Aaron Sanchez's Return rotoballer.com Tue 7/3/18 1:32 PM
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (finger) has started playing catch, but as of now there is no timetable for him to return to the big leagues or even throw a bullpen session. Sanchez has been on the disabled list since June 22 due to discomfort in his right index finger. It's once again been a disappointing season for the once promising 26-year-old, who owns a 4.52 ERA and 1.51 [...]
Aaron Sanchez Leaves With Injury After First Inning rotoballer.com Fri 6/22/18 5:50 AM
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez had been pitching well as of late, going three consecutive games of allowing three runs or less -; each of them being quality starts. Unfortunately, Sanchez was derailed a bit on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels when he was forced to leave after only one inning (25 pitches) with a right index finger contusion. He didn't have a very good inning, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk, but perhaps the injury had something to do with[...]
Aaron Sanchez Destroyed By Red Sox On Memorial Day rotoballer.com Tue 5/29/18 6:36 AM
On May 23 against the Los Angeles Angels, Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez was fantastic as he did not allow any runs across five innings pitched. The only thing his outing on Monday against the Boston Red Sox had in common with his last start was the five innings pitched. This time around, Sanchez was destroyed to the tune of seven earned runs on nine hits and a walk. He struck out four while allowing two home runs. Sanchez simply cannot seem to string together consistently good[...]

Week 8 Waiver Wire - Starting Pitchers rotoballer.com Wed 5/23/18 3:15 AM
We've officially moved beyond the quarter-season mark and will be staring down the one-third pole when next week rolls around, so it's high time you start assessing your team and really scrutinizing those slow starts. I don't know why guys like Aaron Sanchez, Felix Hernandez, Rich Hill and Chad Bettis continue to have 50% ownership (or higher), but I trust those are the fantasy owners not coming to read articles like this.
We've got plenty to get to in a second, but quickly: it looks like Jor[...]
Athletics Rough Up Aaron Sanchez rotoballer.com Fri 5/18/18 5:56 AM
There once was a time when Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez was one of baseball's best young hurlers, but that star has faded quite a bit. Sanchez couldn't get things going on Thursday against the Oakland Athletics, allowing four earned runs on five hits and four walks. He did strike out eight on the day, though, which tied for his highest total on the year. Regardless, Sanchez has largely struggled in 2018 after his 2017 was derailed by blister and fingernail injuries. He hasn't[...]
Aaron Sanchez Rebounds Against Boston rotoballer.com Sat 5/12/18 5:31 AM
There wasn't much faith in Toronto Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez to have a good outing against the Boston Red Sox on Friday, but he came through with a solid yet unspectacular effort. Sanchez threw five innings, allowing two earned runs (three total) on five hits and three walks, striking out four in the no-decision. For the year, he now owns a 4.08 ERA and 1.47 [...]
Tough Matchup For Aaron Sanchez On Friday rotoballer.com Fri 5/11/18 10:58 AM
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez had a rough go of things last time out against the Tampa Bay Rays, but on Friday he'll look to remedy that in a difficult matchup against the Boston Red Sox. Sanchez had thrown four consecutive quality starts prior to his last two outings, and the downward spiral is certainly a cause for concern. However, the last of those quality starts came against these very same Red Sox when Sanchez only allowed two earned runs over six innings pitched while s[...]
