Nola (1-7) allowed nine runs on 12 hits and a walk while striking out two over 3.2 innings to take the loss in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Nola's performance has taken a drastic turn for the worse lately, as he's allowed 13 runs, including five home runs, over his last 8.2 innings. He looked to be turning a corner in late April and early May, but that progress has been wiped out, with Wednesday's outing standing as his worst of the campaign so far. He's now at a 6.16 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB over 49.2 innings over nine starts. Nola is tentatively projected to make his next start at Colorado.

Nola (1-6) took the loss Friday as the Phillies fell 6-0 to the Guardians, giving up four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Two of the hits off Nola left the yard -- a solo shot by Kyle Manzardo in the fourth inning and a two-run blast by Angel Martinez in the fifth. It's the fourth time in eight starts that the veteran right-hander has served up multiple homers, but that's nothing new for Nola, who got taken deep 30-plus times in 2023 and 2024. He'll carry a 4.89 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 50:15 K:BB through 46 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Cardinals.

Nola (1-5) earned the win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out eight over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Per Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Nola was in danger of being scratched from Saturday's start after he felt his neck lock up, which led the Phillies to reinstate Ranger Suarez from the 15-day injured list as an emergency option. Nola relayed after the game that the tightness was limited to the right side of his neck, and it didn't appear to bother him all that much as he tossed 109 pitches (69 strikes) over six scoreless frames while generating 12 whiffs and eight groundouts. How Nola's neck responds following Saturday's outing will determine his availability for his next scheduled start against the Guardians next weekend.

Nola did not factor in the decision during Sunday's extra-inning win over the Cubs. He allowed a run on three hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Nola coughed up a run in the second inning but otherwise had no trouble in the quality start. He commanded the zone by throwing 73 of 99 pitches for strikes. He generated 16 swinging strikes, with six coming via the cutter. Nola snapped a five-start losing skid and delivered his first quality start since April 5. He'll carry a 5.40 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be at home next weekend against the Diamondbacks.

Nola (0-5) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over 6.1 innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Nola gave up a leadoff homer to Francisco Lindor and a solo shot to Jesse Winker in the second inning. Nola didn't run into any more trouble until the seventh inning when he put two runners on base and was charged with both runs after being removed from the contest. It was his longest outing of the year and just the second time he completed at least six frames. Nola has produced an unsightly 6.43 ERA with a 31:11 K:BB through 28 innings. He's currently lined up for a road start against the Cubs this weekend.

Nola (0-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Giants after giving up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and four walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Having already struggled to begin the season, the veteran right-hander was tagged for four runs on four hits and two walks in the opening inning. More trouble arose in the fourth inning, when the Giants plated two more runs and chased Nola from the game after he threw 99 pitches. Nola could have a tough time improving on his 5.82 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over 21.2 innings (four starts) in his next scheduled start, which comes on the road against the Mets early next week, but fantasy managers should stay patient with the one-time All-Star.

Nola (0-3) took the loss after allowing two runs on five hits and four walks in five innings Friday against the Cardinals. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Although the veteran right-hander threw at least five innings in his third straight start and gave up a season-low two runs, he tossed just one clean inning and struggled mightily in a two-run fifth frame while allowing five batters to reach base in the inning. Through 16.1 innings this year, Nola has a shaky 5.51 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 17 punchouts. Fantasy managers should stay patient with the one-time All-Star, who'll look to get into the win column in his next scheduled start in the middle of next week at home against the Giants.

Nola (0-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Nola battled against the vaunted Dodgers but was burned by a two-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the sixth. The veteran righty managed only nine swinging strikes on 97 pitches and has now yielded eight total runs on four long balls through 11.1 innings this year. He'll carry a 6.35 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB into a road matchup with the Cardinals next weekend.

Nola (0-1) took the loss against the Nationals on Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and no walks with eight strikeouts over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Nola cruised through three innings before surrendering all five runs on home runs in the fourth and sixth frames. While the veteran remains one of the game's most durable arms, he has allowed 30-plus homers in each of the past two seasons. He'll look to bounce back in a tough matchup against the Dodgers next weekend.

Nola struck out two and allowed one hit and no walks over two scoreless innings during Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
According to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com, the right-hander was focused on commanding his fastball and changeup and completely avoided using his knuckle-curve, which was his most-used pitch last year at 32.9 percent. Opposing batters hit .279 against his changeup in 2024, and turning that into a more reliable offering could help him improve upon the 3.57 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 197:50 K:BB he posted across 33 regular-season starts last season.
