Aaron Judge Working On Two-Strike Approach rotoballer.com Wed 3/13/19 12:32 PM
New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, who hit his fourth spring homer on Tuesday, has been working on his two-strike approach in recent games to try and reduce his number of strikeouts. "For me, if there's any way I can simplify my already pretty simple swing, I feel like it's going to raise my contact rate and raise my chances of putting balls in play. If I do that, good things will happen," Judge said. The 26-year-old struck out a league-leading 208 times in 2017 but still managed to hit .[...]

Nothing sinks a fantasy season quite like a bust, and the last thing we want to do as fantasy owners is deal with one of those headaches all season. Last year players like Brian Dozier, Marcell Ozuna, and Jonathan Schoop drove us mad, The goal of this article is to identify an infielder at every position who could spoil a fantasy season in 2019 and as such should be avoided at his current ADP.Every player in this article is currently going in the top-150 picks in NFBC leagues, making them player[...]
When and How Do You Target Sleepers on Draft Day? rotoballer.com Sun 3/10/19 4:45 PM
If you're the type of fantasy baseball enthusiast who enjoys the preparation as much as the draft itself, chances are you've been filing away names as potential under-the-radar breakout candidates. Maybe you've got your eye on a young utility player who is one injury away from regular playing time (not that anyone should be rooting for injuries). Maybe you're intrigued by that underrated hitter who changed teams in the winter and figures to put up better numbers in his new lineup. Maybe you noti[...]
Predicting the Top 10 Home Run Hitters of 2019 rotoballer.com Sun 3/10/19 4:30 PM
Last year 14 players hit over 35 or more home runs; the year before that it was 18. The point is, narrowing such an impressive pool of players down to 10 is challenging. The list is realistic but I wanted to be slightly bold as well. It wouldnt be much of a prediction if we just chose the top home run hitters from last year. Coincidentally, there are three sets of teammates, and in two cases, its essentially 50/50 who will lead their team by season's end. There are obviously some notable omissions[...]
Aaron Hicks Is a Cheaper Version of Tommy Pham rotoballer.com Fri 3/8/19 6:45 AM
Tommy Pham and Aaron Hicks have a lot in common. Both didn't truly break out until their late 20s. Neither has ever logged 600 plate appearances in a season, thanks to checkered injury histories. They also produced remarkably similar numbers last season.[...]

ADP Champ or Chump - Nick Senzel and Christian Yelich rotoballer.com Wed 2/27/19 6:30 AM
As fantasy owners, it can be easy to fall in love with a player's talent and end up overpaying for a guy. Nick Senzel's stat lines suggest that he has all of the talent necessary to make an impact at the MLB level, but the combination of his health issues and a crowded Cincinnati roster seem likely to make him a wasted draft choice.Likewise, Christian Yelich's most ardent supporters are pointing to his 2018 MVP campaign as evidence that they have been right all along. Unfortunately, almost nothi[...]
ADP Champ or Chump - Nelson Cruz and Shohei Ohtani rotoballer.com Tue 2/19/19 6:30 AM
For fantasy managers, a player with only DH or Utility eligibility can be difficult to own because he creates lineup issues that limit flexibility. For the last decade, Nelson Cruz has been one of the most prolific hitters, and hes shown few signs of slowing down, except for his shrinking defensive capability. Similarly, Shohei Ohtani is strictly limited to playing as a designated hitter this season, as his pitching career has been delayed due to injury.Depending on league settings, both players[...]
Aaron Judge Past His Wrist Issues rotoballer.com Mon 2/18/19 12:21 AM
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone is confident that outfielder Aaron Judge is past the issues that were caused by his fractured right wrist that cost him around seven weeks last season. "Oh yeah, he's good to go," Boone said. "He's healthy. I think he's as healthy as he's been probably since he's been in the big leagues. He's in really good condition, and I know he's excited to get started." Judge hit .278/.392/.528 with 27 home runs and 67 RBI in 112 games for New York last year and remains[...]
