Civale (2-8) took the loss against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts over four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Civale allowed four two-out runs in the first inning and then surrendered a solo homer in the third. His velocity was down on each of his offerings, and he generated only five swinging strikes on 80 pitches. The 29-year-old hasn't recorded a win since April 9 and will bring a 5.14 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 108:37 K:BB into a home matchup with the Reds next week.

Civale allowed two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Miami on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Civale gave up a pair of runs in the second frame but otherwise kept the Marlins off the scoreboard. He departed with a one-run lead in the sixth inning but was prevented from picking up a win as a result of the Brewers' bullpen imploding in the seventh. Civale has now gone 18 straight outings since his last victory, and he has posted a 5.74 ERA over 91 frames during that span.

Civale did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks over 4.1 innings against the Twins. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Civale allowed homers to Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach, with Larnach's two-run blast in the fifth representing the biggest blow. The five runs allowed represented the most Civale has given up since the beginning of May. It was also the second time he's allowed multiple homers over his first three starts in Milwaukee, matching his previous total through the first 17 outings when he was still a member of the Rays. Civale has compiled 15.2 innings since joining the Brewers, carrying a 5.74 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. He is slated for a much softer matchup in his next start, tentatively slated to take place at home against the Marlins.

Civale (2-7) took the loss Thursday against Pittsburgh, allowing one run on six hits and two walks across 6.1 innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Civale blanked the Pirates until the seventh inning when he allowed a single, an RBI double and a walk before being pulled with one out. His one run allowed proved to be the difference, as the Brewers only managed two hits on the day, both of which came in the eighth inning. Though it'll get marked as a loss, Thursday's outing marked Civale's first time pitching into the seventh inning and was his first quality start since April 16. In two starts with the Brewers, Civale has surrendered five runs over 11.1 innings and owns a 14:5 K:BB.

Civale allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Civale received a tough assignment in his first start as a Brewer, and he didn't do particularly well. Will Smith tagged him for two solo shots and Miguel Vargas added a two-run home run, though Civale exited the game in line for the win before the Brewers' bullpen blew the lead. The three homers are a season high for the right-hander, and that could be a problem that crops up more since Milwaukee's American Family Field is more prone to homers than his old home park, Tropicana Field. Civale is at a 5.18 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 92:30 K:BB through 92 innings over 18 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates.

The Brewers acquired Civale from the Rays on Wednesday in exchange for minor-league infielder Gregory Barrios, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Civale has an ERA north of 5.00 through 17 starts this season, but his xFIP is almost a full run lower at 4.09, and he should help stabilize the rotation for the division-leading Brewers. Shane Baz was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday and appears a likely candidate to replace Civale in the Tampa Bay rotation.

Civale (2-6) was tagged with the loss against Washington on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Civale threw only 58 of 102 pitches for strikes and handed out four free passes, but he managed to mostly weave out of trouble and finished one out shy of a quality start. Nonetheless, he ended up in the loss column since the Rays' offense gave him only one run of support. Civale has gone 14 straight outings without a victory, and he hasn't pitched well overall with a 5.79 ERA over that span. The right-hander has been better of late, though, giving up two or fewer earned runs while hurling at least five frames in five of his past seven starts.

Civale did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over five innings against the Pirates. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Civale was pulled after having tossed a season-low 61 pitches over five effective innings, with the only blemish coming in the form of a Bryan Reynolds fourth-inning solo homer. It appears this was more of a managerial decision due to the heat and the Pirates having the top of the order coming up for a third time as opposed to any type of distress for Civale, who rebounded from his previous outing when he was chased after failing to complete four innings. Civale has struck out 79 in 76.1 innings this season and will carry a 5.42 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place next weekend when the Rays welcome the Nationals to Tampa for a three-game set.

Civale didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
While Civale kept the Twins scoreless through three innings, he unraveled in the fourth. The 29-year-old surrendered a single, a walk and a pair of doubles to consecutive batters, all with two outs, before being replaced by Kevin Kelly. Tuesday's start marked Civale's first time failing to complete four innings this season, and he hasn't added a tally to the win column since April 9. In 76.1 innings of work, Civale owns a 5.42 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 79 strikeouts. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start against the Pirates to end his two-start week.

Civale did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Civale loaded the bases in the first inning but got out of the jam and pitched well other than a solo home run by Seiya Suzuki in the fourth inning. Civale left the game an out shy of a quality start with a 2-1 lead, but a Cody Bellinger three-run homer in the seventh prevented him from earning his first win since April 9. On the season, Civale now owns a 5.20 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB in 14 starts and lines up to start next Tuesday against the Twins.
