A lot of leagues do IDP, the projections are pretty much worthless for those leagues if they don't project the scoring for defensive players. It is not a must, but it would make a more complete experience.
Just noticed this still isn't fixed. What's going on? I think I remember at some point this did work. Any reason why it's not fixed yet? Really hurts IDP predictions when 1/3 of your team has 0.
They are slacking.. Just put the same average you have on the player card. For example, Ray Lewis is averaging 11.5 points a game. Take that stat and put it on the score projections for leagues with defensive players plz.
We're going to try and figure something out soon here. We have been projecting them offline for the past couple of weeks and they do not project as well as we'd like nor are they as accurate as we'd like them to be to go live with; it's not as scientific as the offensive ones the team puts forth here.
The IDP projections are less based on matchups from the research we've been gathering and implementing. We think we'll have some solution here in the near future and keep you guys updated. Maybe a week or so, I understand where you're coming from.
Either you have something complete, or you don't have it. It isn't the if they matter or not, it is the principle of having something complete if you have it at all. Complacency is a problem in my opinion. I don't expect you to understand from reading your post though, you seem simple.
IDP leagues need this to happen. Even lame A%&$ yahoo has this. Granted they are not accurate but are the offensive ones any better? It just helps to get a second opinion when setting up your team for the week.
Yes, but projecting defensive stats is even more random than offensive players. Cuz for example an OLB could only have a few plays ran his way a whole game and end up with only a few tackles, so basically with defensive projections its guessing what each teams offense is going to do and who they are going to target defensively. There is no way it actually takes that into account, so the projections are mostly bs.
It would be cool if they used last years stats until then... but yah, after a few weeks would work. I posted basically the same thread last year and it didn't happen.

it's better that they aren't projected, imo.

Your best bet is to use the rankings on IDP Guru website.

Agreed, I'm telling you... Averages would be fine.

ShockIndustryThu 9/9/10 1:20 AM
Well, just at least put the players averages as a projection and add it to the total... That would work.
NE_Dynasty_0119Thu 9/9/10 1:21 AM
thats true, starting that in week 3 or 4 would make more sense though right?
ShockIndustrySun 9/12/10 10:21 AM

NE Dynasty.. "so basically with defensive projections its guessing what each teams offense is going to do.."
aren't they already doing that by projecting what basically every offensive player is going to do?
NE_Dynasty_0119Wed 9/15/10 9:03 AM
yes, but its easier to project offensive players because its not up to the other team who the offense will throw the ball to or run the ball with...
ShockIndustryWed 9/15/10 10:58 AM
All the projections are BS... I am just asking for them to at least put the defensive players average in the projected score.
scotto1959Wed 9/15/10 11:40 AM
It's very easy to do.
