Someone needs to update the players who are available to add. Today I saw Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice available to add, these guys are hall of famers and have appeared on multiple commercials and dancing with the stars... I'm pretty sure they won't be available in 2012... I added Jerry Rice for laughs but think someone needs to update the players available it may prevent such a delay during live stats updates.
