Hi Fleaflicker,
Please think about adding these tiebreakers to your Power Rankings:
1. Best head-to-head record (same division only, minimum 2 games total)
- Sweep condition not necessary
- The game requirement will eliminate the 1 game parity issue in Fantasy Football (i.e. bye weeks).
- Mimics the NFL Divisional H2H tiebreaker
- This would also work for leagues not split into 2 or more divisions
An example: Team A, Team B, and Team C finish 7-5 in same division.
Team A - Team B 1-1 and Team C 0-1 (1-2, 3 games)
Team B - Team A 1-1, didn't play Team C (2 games)
Team C - Team A 1-0, didn't play Team B (1 game - not considered for tiebreaker)
Team B (1-1) would win the tiebreaker over Team A (1-2)
2. Smallest head-to-head average margin of victory (minimum 2 games total)
- Calculated by total winning margin in games won divided by total head-to-head games won
- If a team didn’t win any head-to-head games, they would not be considered for tiebreaker
- Would give the edge to teams that had the most nail biters
3. Largest head-to-head average margin of victory (minimum 2 games total)
- Would give the edge to teams that had the most blowouts
4. Smallest season average margin of victory
5. Largest season average margin of victory
Thank you.
