In 2010, I believe there was about a two hour gap between the claims being run (on Thursday morning for us), and the ability to make add/drops afterwards. I understand this is an intentional gap in time to prevent potential issues with running the waivers. However, is there a way to shorten the gap in time to maybe a half hour instead? The issue we had is many league members wanted to take advantage of the add/drops once waivers ran, but were unable to because they had to leave for work before they were able to do this, and many work places do not allow websites like fleaflicker. Does the gap need to remain at two hours, or might this be adjusted?

Whoops, it appears claims begin about 7-12 hours after a player is done for the week.

Per an email response, it sounds like we do not have to wait until 12 hours after a game is finished to place a claim in. In fact, it appears we might be able to place a claim as early as kickoff for a player we are interested in. Of course claims do not process until days later, based on your specific league settings.

Lastly, is it still true that bidding on waivers begins about 12 hours after a player is done playing for the week, or what is the typical timeline for this?

Unfortunately yes we need that time in between.

Why don't your owners queue up extra claims? The system will process as many claims as you submit.

Some people just like to make moves after the dust has settled after the waivers go through. Others might just not want to take the time to queue up a bunch of moves. I will remind people that they can put in claims for zero dollars, which is something I think people tend to forget.
