To past AOL members (seasons 2004-2007):

Thanks for your patience regarding the transition from AOL fantasy football to Fleaflicker.

We are working around the clock to have your fantasy football league up and running. The transition should be complete by this Friday, July 11. (We will update the transfer status and keep you posted if any unexpected issues arise.)

When the transfer is complete we'll make another announcement here on the forums and also send out E-mails to the affected leagues.

Below are some commonly asked questions regarding the transition. Feel free to submit more questions.

* When will the transfer be completed? - By this Friday, July 11

* How will the user know when the transfer has been completed? - Via Forum, and Email

* Will keeper league rosters transfer? - Yes

* Will past standings and box scores transfer? - Yes

* Will transactions and traded picks transfer - Yes

* Will league message board posts transfer? - Yes

* Will league rules and roster requirements transfer - Yes

* Will past records, honors and awards transfer? ? Past AOL players will have the same past records/honors as any other Fleaflicker user--we track career record and number of past championships won.

* Will teams be able to keep logos? - No. However, we know many users have suggested logos and it is something we are working on for the future.

* Will player salaries and auction leagues transfer? ? No. Fleaflicker does not currently support salary or auction leagues. We may add this feature in the future though.

Thanks for your patience and please contact us if you have any other questions.

If the transfer happens on Friday, I'll be happy, even without my logo.

It's FREE so some things I'll have to deal with. It sure beats figuring out the scores by hand like the early days.

Sweet!

Shrinks Mon 7/7/08 4:45 PM

I am PUMPED!! Great work Fleaflicker. I'm excited for Friday!!

rwallis73 Mon 7/7/08 8:14 PM

lol, no logos? wth? how primitive is this site? does it even have live scoring?

TheBroth Mon 7/7/08 9:47 PM

No blind bidding, no logos, no thanks.

MFL here we come.

[Deleted User] Mon 7/7/08 10:58 PM

it has live scoring

[Deleted User] Tue 7/8/08 2:13 AM

Good grief, are logos really that big a deal? It's a little picture next to your name. Somehow I don't see how this is that crucial.

rwallis73 Tue 7/8/08 5:01 AM

its called personalization, our teams have had the same logos for years now. this is getting better and better all the time.
whats next, they pick our team names for us also? or can we only have "Team 1 vs. Team 2. lol , how atari is this? Im sad to say, but im 95 % sure we will be paying for a fantasy football site this year....

[Deleted User] Tue 7/8/08 1:40 PM

ur not gonna play on a great free site cuz u want logos?? If AOL had them it wont take long for fleaflicker to use it. Dont leave fleaflicker cuz u want a picture. the fleaflicker system beats almost every other free site and really isnt worth paying for

majicdragons Tue 7/8/08 5:41 PM

What does Flea have that the others don't? Why is it so great? I'm not getting it!

[Deleted User] Tue 7/8/08 2:17 PM

Hey, if he wants to pay $50-75 to put a little picture next to his name, I say don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Everyone else who has moved beyond just reading the pictures can stay here and wait for Fleaflicker to prioritize it.

majicdragons Tue 7/8/08 5:44 PM

I would be more interested in paying, because I know other sites will let you know when they will be down in advance and they are always back up and running within a month at the most. Even a month is considered unreasonable for most pay sites. $60 split between 12 guys is $5 per team. Wow, that is some fat cash to have your team at hand when you need it.

TheBroth Tue 7/8/08 6:27 PM

I'm not going to sit here and bash this place but I think majicdragons makes a good point. The complete lack of communication over the course of nearly a month is not a good sign of things to come. I'd rather have each guy pay <$7 and avoid a mid-season disaster that won't get fixed for a month. I just can't let that happen to a league that's been going strong for 10 years.

With that said I will continue to update my rosters on the AOL site and in a couple of years we'll be back if all goes smoothly.

Good luck to all.

yeah, just think we have stoppages and problems in the middle of the season with no feedback from the site, with thousands of dollars tied up in these leagues. lol..i cant wait.

FFCSR_Doug Tue 7/8/08 8:51 PM

We understand your concerns, but Fleaflicker is not a site that will go down in the middle of the season. It is also a platform that is working on improving its communication and appreciates all your comments. We hope you give Fleaflicker a chance and let us know what improvements you would like to have made.

Steven Tue 7/8/08 9:40 PM

i would like to see e-mail drafts added.

TheBroth Wed 7/9/08 6:43 PM

Thanks for the reply Doug.

Good luck and I hope the transition goes well. We'd love to put the $80 spent on a League Manager back into the Prize Pool next season.

That is if Blind Bidding is an option at that time :)

Stop being a bunch of drama queens. You act like you have so much knowledge of this site when, in fact, you have no clue what you're talking about. The site isn't down, fleaflicker leagues haven't been affected. If AOL didn't give their users appropriate notice and updates then that's AOL's scew-up not Fleaflicker's.

This isn't a site that has many problems. They're transferring a ton of info because of the AOL deal. If I were you I'd want the Fleaflicker team working on the transfer, not answerring to your whining every five minutes.

rwallis73 Wed 7/9/08 1:43 AM

No drama queen here, everything I have said is warranted. We will see if this is all up and running in a few days, im thinking they might have bit off a little more than they can chew here.

And youre right, the site isnt down for you , But it is for us.
Things might be a little different if they jerked your whole league out from under you with no solid answers to when it would be back, lol.

majicdragons Wed 7/9/08 7:51 AM

Drama Queen? AOL bought Flea Flicker in 2006! That means fleaflicker is AOL! The guy you used to know, who ran this site is just a pon for the AOL machine now. If you think anyone except AOL is dropping the ball, you would be wrong! I just keep hearing about how great this site is, and I want anyone who has said it to defend their statement. Why is it so great? Have the guys saying this ever played on another site? Seriously.

[Deleted User] Wed 7/9/08 10:11 AM

I've played on ESPN, Yahoo, MyFantasyLeague, Fanball, AOL and Fleaflicker (and contrary to your belief, Fleaflicker was NOT AOL's fantasy football site until this year)

Fleaflicker does more than most of those and does almost as much as MyFantasyLeague which is $80 per season. And Fleaflicker has added the most requested features each year and will probably in time have some logos, but seriously, it's not something to play $50-$80 over in my opinion.

I've never had a problem with fleaflicker. Ever. These types of downtimes happen in IT when you're talking about not just importing but converting that much data. Hundreds if not thousands of leagues with all different types of options, history, scoring, etc... It's not something you just do in one night and anyone who does not get that does not understand what is going on.

[Deleted User] Wed 7/9/08 10:21 AM

yeah. They are going from a small site to a huge site. It takes time and its complicated to do. Its not the middle of teh season its 2 months before the season. If fleaflicker goes down in the season i will buy everyone drinks for the rest of their life. Its not gonna happen. When Ive been playing at fleaflicker I've never once experienced downtime. This is the one and only transition to AOL and once its done its done and everything will be better and the wait will have been worth it. The aol admins have good stuff in mind, trust me.

majicdragons Wed 7/9/08 3:21 PM

I realize that aol league will be on fleaflicker for the first time. That does not change the FACT that aol bought fleaflicker in 2006! Is the only thing that makes this site so great the fact that it is free? Remember you get what you pay for.

[Deleted User] Wed 7/9/08 3:53 PM

What makes it great is that it does most if not all of what pay leagues do and is free.

Btw, the site has not been down. My league that was on Fleaflicker prior to this has been open and functional this entire time. The only thing that has been inaccessible has been AOL leagues transitioning. In fact, I can only count three times I've not had access to my teams and it was during upgrades that lasted an hour or less.

[Deleted User] Wed 7/9/08 4:27 PM

I will say it again. The concern here was/is the lack communication from AOL ahead of the transistion and, up until a couple of days ago from FF staff during the transition.

Looks like they got a handle on the communication thing now hope everything else falls into place...we have been on 3 different sites in as many years now... would hate to switch again

[Deleted User] Wed 7/9/08 4:41 PM

trust me communication will be better from now on

mpthatch Wed 7/9/08 4:30 PM

Good Riddance

majicdragons Wed 7/9/08 6:30 PM

It is oh so obvious who you are talking to!
