Starting up a new Keeper league.

Number of teams will be based on reservations.

Draft lotteries:

1) To decide order of picking your NHL Team

2) Draft order

Roster:

Once your NHL team is picked, you select 6 players from that team as your base. Rest of the NHL goes into the draft. This is just to give all teams a competitive starting point. Those 6 must be given a 3 year contract and can't be dropped but can be traded.

*If contracted player is traded, the owner must apply a new 3 year contract on a different player. After 3 years is up, the Owner can apply a max 2 year contract extension after which the player becomes a UFA if not traded.

Teams can have max of any 2 goalies. Once all teams have 2 goalies, all teams can draft 1 backup.

26 man NHL Roster, 6-8 man minor league

Starting lineups:

Pretty standard - 3C 3LW 3RW 6D 2G

Bench:

1 G spot for a backup/rotation

8 player spots

Minors:

6-8 player minor league system with a 2 goalie max.

Criteria is 82 NHL games played.

Draft picks:

3 year draft pick trading

Draft picks must equal. Ie. if you trade a 2019 pick you must acquire a 2019 pick. trade: Player A + 2019 3rd and 2020 2nd for Player B +2019 6th and 2020 1st

Keepers:

your 6 contracted players plus 2 non contracted.

Add/Drops:

Non waiver drops, max 5 pick-ups per week
