just a opinion question, veto on trades were abolished today in the league I'm in,,,two weeks ago it was voted to keep veto as is,a trade went to vote today and it was vetoed, that owner his brother and the Cornish of the league all threw a fit and held yet another vote to abolish the veto, all three voted to keep it two weeks ago,now changed to yes get rid of it,the trade that was vetoed then went through again and now will be completed,,question is this .is that fishy or fair to do
Get rid of trade vetoes. They're a joke. People will ALWAYS veto a trade just to do it. It's built upon the honor system, and unfortunately, some people aren't going to be honest about it. They'll veto the trade just to veto it, instead of vetoing because they actually think it's unfair.
Here's what I do in my dynasty league that I run, and I HIGHLY suggest you do the same:
Choose an owner that is just as fair-minded as you and won't hold a bias on trades. Make them Co-Commish. Each trade that goes up for review has to get the approval of the Commish (you), and if it does, it goes through immediately (using the Commish Execute option). If ever you are not sure if a trade is fair or you're just iffy about it, it then goes to the Co-Commish for review. If he agrees with it, it goes through and if not, it gets "Commish Vetoed" and must be tweaked or reworked in order for it to go through.
I've been using this system for years now, and it's worked out great because all of the owners know that I'm fair-minded and just want to run a league full of integrity. I would at least experiment with it and see how it goes. I have a feeling you and the league would end up loving this system.
thank you for that input,we have abolish ed veto now,no co comish but that's a good idea to try out. my problem was the way it all went down, thank you again for that idea ,will bring it up today,
